The album is scheduled to be released may 2018. More info on the link below.

Despite some people describing it as a mere clone of mgla I think this band has potential, let's see how this one sounds.
I'm still hoping for a Ceremonial Castings new record, even though this could mean the definitive end for it.

I actually enjoyed Uada's debut more than anything by Mgla. The song Natus Eclipsim has some amazing riffing.

I'm a huge Ceremonial Castings fan and a huge Uada fan, so I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm excited to see that there are going to be seven songs, their first album was a little short in my opinion.

Very excited for this one. For those unfortunate to have missed them on tour, they've recently been playing two new songs live, which was an awesome surprise. If it's any indicator, it looks like they're doubling down on the sound of their debut, which is great.

Spoiler: show

They played a couple of unknown tracks at Maryland Deathfest last year. They opened with a song I didn't recognize before going into "Natus Eclipsm", then "Devoid of Light", and "S.N.M.". Then played one or two (three?) other new songs before finishing (properly) with "Black Autumn, White Spring".

Here's the full set. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk6MSZ5LsRI

So it looks like the setting of the album cover takes place in the same spot as the cover of Devoid of Light. Is it the past? The future? Will we ever find out? All that and more, on Cult of a Dying Sun

Looking forward to this though, count me in with the others who dig what they do. Loved the first album.

Highly anticipated. Recently saw them live here in Portland and they sounded absolutely outstanding.

Sick! Their last album wasn't perfect but it was more exciting to listen to than a most that came out that year.

So they released a track. This was definitely second to last song they played at MDF. Pretty awesome.

Killer live show, and the music is solid, but I'm still very much in "it's just less interesting Mgla" camp.

the new song is just kinda there. it's competent, sure. i just don't really know what the point of it was or what atmosphere they were going for beyond "modern black metal" maybe it needs more listens but i doubt it.

I saw some people on youtube making negative comments about the new song and the production, but it all sounded good to me. After the song was over I remembered a lot of the riffs and melodies, which I can't say for most modern black metal I hear. I think anybody that liked the debut should like this too, judging by this one song.

Didn't like the production of the drums, they sound sterile and sort of synthetic but compared to the previous album they are far better. Riffs are still highly mgla inspired but at least they are memorable and written in their own style. They emphasise a little more on the use of different vocal styles on this one, which is nice in my opinion. Generally I don't hear a vast improvement from their previous album (which had serious production issues as well, specially on the drums). I'm still looking forward to hear the full thing.

I think the way they dress is a lot more similar to Mgla than their music really. Uada is more "melodic" and has more breakdown type moments. I listened to their debut a bunch at first, but haven't really revisited it since last year (probably should) They have a lot of potential, and the new song sounds like it's continuing in the right direction.

Extremely welcome news, Devoid of Light is fantastic.
I find the Mgla comparison valid, though I much prefer Uada. (Mgla are wicked though)

Love the new video for "Cult of a Dying Sun"! I am generally not a fan of most music videos these days but think they did a great job with it. Also, props to Jake Superchi for directing it himself. The new album is one of my favorites this year.
