Bloodbath always manages to have a monstrous sound. So does Sulphur Aeon, probably my favorite death metal band.

Brutal! The mix and production also suits Ol’ Nicks voice better than Grand Morbid Funeral. Pretty sure this is going to be an AOTY-contender for me.

Instead of being disappointed by the new songs, let's all take a moment to appreciate Will Smith's haunting performance in Wretched Human Mirror. The second half of that song would probably be the best part of the album if not for Mock the Cross.

Not at all disappointed by the new songs. They sound great.

Streaming on Spotify as of this morning. Listened through twice so far and absolutely loving it - vocals and guitars sound incredible - bloodbath know how to work dynamics and melodies into songs that are full of savage riffs like no other band. Possibly stronger than GMF which I though was great. My fave for the year on first impressions - awaiting preorder in the mail

I'm spinning this beast for the third time today and damn does it fucking rock! The production is superb and I love that Joakim Karlsson's influence is such a big part of the record. The man is playing on two of my favorite releases this year (White Noise and Black Metal by Craft being the other one) which is quite incredible.

I love the way it sounds. Favourite tracks so far: Bloodicide, Morbid Antichrist, Warhead Ritual.

The only one I'm not into yet is Wayward Samaritan.

I'm not too happy about the choppy songwriting, wrote a pretty critical review despite it being decent: http://deathdoom.com/blog/death-metal/b ... wn-review/

Love the production, and I did like Nick vocals on GMF but think he sounds even better this time around. But the songwriting is abit lacking. I felt like I was in the minority to really digging GMF but this album isn't really doing it for me thus far. Will give it more listens.
