both are from svart. :)

Ok cool. coloured or black vinyls? I've got the black ones and I'm thinking of getting the coloured ones too before they get impossible to get at a non-ridiculous price like some of the others I'm looking for (The West Pole and Home goddammit!)

Nice score! If you don't mind, how much did it cost you?

You might have to make an investment of time searching ebay, or wait around for it to go up on Discogs!

Just got back from the rock and roll store.

Got some albums for some pals for Jesus's birthday:
Chulaholma by the Black Keys for my pally at work.
House of Gold and Bones by Stone Sour for my cousin.
King Animal by Soundgarden for me mum (though I admit I busted into it on the way home and now it is mine because it rocks hard).

And I couldn't help but get some shit for myself:
Scott Walker - 67-79
New Riders of the Purple Sage - The Adventures of Panama Red

I looked through the "dark metal" section of the store and wanted to blind buy something to try and feel the spirit of metal again, but all of the cover art and band names made me feel like I was just in store for the same old same old. Post-power metal appeals to me a lot these days. Emerald Horizon Blues Band, my favorite post-power metal band, put a new album out, but I couldn't find anything by them there. I gotta track it down though. The samples were incredible. Lush orchestrations accompanied by melodic guitar loops that, beginning softly and hypnotically, built and built into orchestral metal madness. The lack of a vocalist sets them apart, too - though I know they occasionally have chanting, etc.

Last purchase in this year:

From the 3 CDs for 15€ offer on Amazon. I should look for new stuff there more often, still need to get some of the classics.

I'm very sad that I can't find a comparable deal here in the U.S. I peeked at the .de page for this, and there are 990 CDs in the "metal" category.

Cry.

My latest was the deluxe edition of Pig Destroyer's Book Burner, which cost almost as much as the aforementioned Amazon deal. The music has been a letdown; I'm hoping the short story, "The Atheist" ("dedicated to Christopher Hitchens" it says) is somewhat redemptive.

Well, not quite long ago the metal section offered only half of the stuff it does now, so hopefully this trend goes on.

I usually shop at Grooves-Inc., which has many items for a small price in the metal section as well, but I don't know how good the service in the US is.

Deicide - Deicide
Deicide - Legion

Not much metal but I got some good scores last night:

Obsession - Marshall Law
Chillum - CD
Black Sabbath - Vol. 4
Devo - Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!
The Doors - S/T
Hatred Surge - Decontruct
The Rolling Stones - Sticky Lips

Buying records makes me happy/ Got the Vol. 4 for $1! Its in really bad condition but plays fine so I'm fine with that.

It's been a few months since I've posted anything I bought, and probably the most non-metal I've bought in a long time.

Metal
Necrophagist - Epitaph
Necrophagist - Onset of Putrefaction
Mitochondrion - Parasignosis
Between the Buried and Me - Parallax II: Future Sequence
Obscura - Omnivium
Burzum - Filosofem

Non-Metal
Muse - The 2nd Law
The Algorithm - Polymorphic Code
Ellie Goulding - Lights
Ellie Goulding - Halcyon

No, the scratch is on the label side, nothing to do about it. EAC complains of tracks 7 and 8 but there's no obvious skip (on the laptop at least). Anyway, the seller made a full refund and told me to dispose of the CD as I see fit.

Dunno, maybe because it's the EMI Classic Rock reissue.
