Fun fact:

The list says:
"Immortal - Destroying Divina" Red LP

I have two copies of this boot, both come with an inlay saying:
"Limited edition of 318 all on blizzard blue vinyl"

One of my copies is blizzard blue (which will then have to be the "official" boot), the other is purple.

Obviously the LP is printed in different colours as they are "sold out" :P

The two newest DVDs on Testament's page are bootlegs. Openly stated as such. I figured someone should take a look at it.

There are two Carcass CDs I'm curious about...

Flesh Ripping Symphony:
http://redrumrecords.net/default.cfm?Si ... m&ItemID=8

The Gore Gallery of Demos:
http://redrumrecords.net/default.cfm?Si ... ItemID=603

Can anyone confirm the validity of these releases? Thanks.

Angelus Diaboli - Angelus Diaboli
It is spread as a shitty CD-R and not is legitimate by the band. 2 'real' copies exist of demo and no more have ever been released.

Wolok - Servum Pecus (Demo Version 2005)
The band sees this as a bootleg. It was released by Smell the Stench.

I have read a interview from Mertz, stating that it was more or less official, but surely not seen as a bootleg.

L.Mertz wrote:

Lately a lot of 'official bootlegs' have been added to Supurations page, claimed to be released by the band's own label: Orcinus. Can anyone confirm these releases?

Alastis - Promo 1992

Alastis from Switzerland. Tracklist says it included "Adv. Tracks for LP" and "Promo 1991". From Pink Floyd Records.

Probably not added often if at all, but a bootleg.

Bootleg or not? Becouse I downloaded "Ondes Triumph" and... well, "Rehearsal 1993" IS "Ondes Triumph".

That bootleg is both the rehearsal and the "Vargnatt" demo on one tape.

Heavy Left Handed & Candid DVD by Cradle of Filth is actually a real release, not a bootleg... It has a midian-era concert of their's played in Nottingham, and I saw it the other day in my local HMV

I was wondering if Neurosis - Short Wave Warfare should be considered a bootleg or not. It was released by Neurot Records (a label the band actually owns and operates). The information I came across shows it as being a Neurot release of a bootleg. Would this classify it as an official bootleg, therefore allowing the release onto the archives?

Thanks for the help. I will dig into it a little more to make sure it was actually released by Neurot and not some guy just putting the Neurot logo on it.

If I do add, I'll put some links in the additional notes to show my sources.

Thanks again.

Added the Neurosis album. If there's any problems with it's authenticity, let me know and I'll look more into it. Thanks again!

Is the Seigneur Voland/CDH CD that came out this year a bootleg? I've added info on it twice to the additional notes (i don't have the tracklisting) and someone's deleted it both times.

I have deleted the additional notes. Useless as it was already mentioned in both releases:
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=21528
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=21530

I think you were missing that both parts were re-releases and thus to be mentioned in the additional notes of the original releases.

Isn't it worth adding this as a seperate release?

I own this release. The tracks are exactly the same than on both previous splits and they are only remastered and not re-recorded. So a note in the additional notes is enough.

Possessed - The Demos 1984 - 1992

I impulse-bought this today. An obvious bootleg, it consists of Death Metal Demo Tape 84, Rehearsal 84, Demo Tape 91 and Demo Tape 93. In addition to having the wrong track listing (the back mentions 12 tracks, there actually are 13), the humongous professionalism of this release without any label is evidenced by the fact that it has Possessed's demos from 1984 to 1992 on it, according to the title, but still ends with Demo Tape 93.

It's still a damn cool collection, unintelligently bootlegged or not.

The split between Mutilated Christ & Frostmoon is a bootleg. Released by Hell Institute Records. I have the confirmation of the band (Frostmoon) that this release does not belong to the official Frostmoon discography!

Mütiilation - Black Wind Of War

Sarcofago - sex, drinks and metal

Moonblood - Kingdom under the funeral skies

Mysticum - Demons never sleep

Is the Samson/Girlschool/Angel Witch/Tank live split by Emporio records a bootleg? It sports the following statement: "Produced under licence by Paul Samson" I couldn't find info about it anywhere...

There is a new Sabbat (Jpn) bootleg LP out : Early Onslaught. It's ridiculous with DIY felttip written cover.

A question about Overkill's split 7" flexi with The Almighty in Kerrang magazine. Shouldn't be added?
And another promo split with Testament and Savatage on EastWest recs.
Catalog #: SAM 1154.

Abhorer's Unholy Blasphemer is considered a bootleg by the band. I found this on their official MySpace: "A BIG FUCK OFF TO XTREEM MUSIC FOR RELEASING A PIRATE CD OF OUR MATERIAL!!!"

So maybe a mod could get around to deleting it from their page.

Isn't this a bootleg? I mean it seems weird to me that Bathory would do a split with those 2 bands at that time. I guess it was added recently by someone, because i don't remember seeing this release on bathory's page before.
