I decided to write up a new article - a review of Panopticon's album "Kentucky," and, more or less, of the band overall:

http://www.peoplesworld.org/environment-unions-bluegrass-and-metal-panopticon-s-kentucky/

I basically go into the lyrical content of the album and how it reflects on environmentalism and the plight of the coal miners as they tried to unionize. I also tried to elaborate a bit on the overall sound. I know that Panopticon's relevance in - or even connection with - the Cascadian black metal scene (if it can be called that) is negligible, but I view this music as a natural progression of what those bands were/are doing.

Anyhow, give it a read!
