Yeah...
Musically it's fine, but lyrically... no comment.

Damn K.K.'s reaching into the Sum 41 bag of riffs for this one!

Holy shit- the whole ‘what’s happened to my country’ rant. This makes Mustaine look balanced.

I’m embarrassed to be Australian right now….this guy is a muppet

For how good and reinvigorated Wildfire sounded, this is really disappointing...

Unchain the Wolves was a good debut and Phoenix Rising is an undisputed classic but they lost everything good they had with Cold Steel.... for an Iron Age and since then their releases have been average at best, I anticipate the same for this album.

Plus their lyrics have always been extremely cringe

The worst part about this is it somehow made I Am the Wargod 0.01% less cool.

The song itself is fine, though it could do without those boomer rants.

This is the metal equivalent of that South Park song Mr. Garrison sings before running for president.

I didn't think Decapitated's "Cancer Culture" cringe could be topped, but they managed it. Bravo!

Sounds great to me. If the whole album is like that count me in.

I think the new track is pretty great too. KK's gruffer vocals here seem to work a lot better than on their last EP. The main riff sounds like one of the "Hounds at Ya Back" riffs reimagined for a speed metal context, and the thrash break and snarled vocals during the bridge are a great touch. Political lyrics aren't really my thing, but I don't think the chorus is all that different from what you'd hear in a song by Nuclear Assault or any other politically-conscious thrash band. This song is way better than most of the stuff on Wildfire, which I thought had a lot of dead space and was overall pretty overrated.

Hopefully this new album hearkens back to their past glory. Their first three albums are untouchable. Phoenix Rising and Cold Steel in particular are two of my favorite albums of all time. I don't see how someone could claim to be a blackened thrash fan and not love Cold Steel, even if it was a stylistic departure for the band. That album is just banger after banger.

I thought I was just going crazy when I thought it sounded very similar, but I guess I'm not the only one

The lyrics are awful. Musically meh. I actually love everything they’ve done up to and including Wildfire but this ain’t it. Hopefully there will be super strong tracks to counter this and it may work better in context of the album. If all the rest of the tunes have these lyrical nuggets then this may be the first album I pass on.

Well, looks like Satanic Speed Metal will remain the only song of theirs that I care about even a little.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. I've dug everything they've done up to and including Wildfire (and even think Defiance is super underrated), but this sounds like B-tier Motorhead worship. Granted, they were always super inspired by Motorhead, but they also had other things about their riffing and arrangements that made them their own, even amongst other black/thrash. This just feels copy/pasted.

Lyrically.....yegggh. Like I gave Decapitated a pass, and it's not like I'm expecting shakespeare from D666 (particularly because KK's a bit of a doink, to say the least), but this is "old man yells at cloud" level of bad.

I for one am *shocked* that "K.K. Warslut" is an emotionally stunted and creatively bankrupt manchild.

I wasn't big on Wildfire apart for a few songs and this seems to be a continuation of that style with some added magooness. Pass

Are the lyrics that bad? I mean, they're pretty cringy but metal is full of stupid lyrics everywhere and about every topic imaginable, so I don't see how this one song is that big of a deal.

Is this the band that released Wildfire!?

"WhAt tHe HeLL HaPpeNeD tO My CoUntRy!?"

Jesus.... wow. This is one bold and brash tune.

The fact that he fucking mispronounces guillotine is the cherry on top. Amazing.

In what way? Pronouncing the L's? That's the English pronunciation and is how an Australian would say it. Sounded correct from me, unless you meant something else.

Loved Wildfire, this borrows too much from "Hounds at ya Back" while sporting those hard-to-ignore dumb lyrics. Will probably find better tracks on the album but this one is a pass for me.

I can't really understand the lyrics, but the music is pretty good. Sounds more like a punk sound this time.

Destroyer 666 should continue to make right wing comedy rock. Lord knows it’s at least more entertaining than the blackened cock rock they did before. Can’t wait to hear future tunes like “Separate but Equal” and “Cum and Take ‘Em!”.

If they want to go the political route, fine, but can they at least be a little more nuanced with their lyrics? And to make it even funnier, they look like a bunch of washed old men in the video.

Dickhead doesn't even live in Australia, how patriotic.

Mr. Warslut just turned 50 lol

Who knew that underneath it all, Keith Bemrose is actually a very fragile person (someone he would probably call a "triggered snowflake") who is deeply insecure about his own masculinity?

"Lone Wolf Winter" indeed ;)

I’m all for shitting on bad lyrical takes but can we keep the ageist nonsense out of it? You will all get old, some of us well on our way more than others.

Yeah but there's a difference between aging gracefully and doing whatever the fuck K.K.'s up to. He's turned into a dumb old man (neither of which descriptor are exclusive to one another), call a spade a spade.

Aging is aging. There are foolish old and young people…. Using age as an insult… well no one has control over that.

I'm old as fuck too lol I don't give a shit! K.K. Warslut is being a fucking boomer, something which he most certainly has control over and is making his fellow aging metalheads (like me) look bad!

Nuance has rarely been a part of D666's approach, IMO.
