Greece has for quite some time now been the second best country for heavy metal, behind Sweden. Sacral Rage, Battleroar, Dexter Ward, Saboter, Sacred Outcry, Doomocracy and so on.
The next great thing is Triumpher (features previous members from the disbanded Saboter) and the debut album "Storming the Walls".
They kinda sound like a dark, wicked, technical and brutal version of Manowar. The vocals and instrumentation are impressing and so is the song writing. A cross between Manowar and Craven Idol perhaps? They will probably get some recognition with the debut, which is out on Floga Records now.
Check it out!

fun album, wouldnt compare em with Manowar specifically but it is basically USPM made by people from the Greek extreme metal scene.

Yeah, I listened to this album a couple of weeks ago and it surprised the hell out of me. Epic heavy metal with a great deal of extreme metal influence, not too many bands I can think of doing that these days.

Singer is pretty dead on for Eric Adams at times, especially the shrieks.

I noticed the Manowar influence in the vocals too. Chances are that this will be far better than anything Manowar will release in the coming years.

I've been enjoying this one. Sometimes the song writing and mash of styles feel kind of off or wonky. But overall solid, and feel like the band will get better on future releases when they're more solidified in sound.
