Gelal of Arghoslent and GBK lived for a while in Argentina, he really digs South American football culture. He played in an amateur football club of metalheads called "Pesadillas Football Club" (Nightmare Football Club). Always seemed really weird to me that the guy lived in my country and ended up playing in a racist band in the USA. If he didn't move to America, he would probably ended up as another hispanic guy who likes Messi and asado, like everyone here.

It's a shame that their lyrics are so hurtful to the scene, their music is actually pretty good. Always liked that melodic but still heavy approach to death metal. I am gonna check their upcoming album, but I would never pay them a dime, like the comment above me said.

I heard awhile back, that he did in fact live in Argentina for a bit, like you're saying. And that he loves soccer. But the "if he didn't move to America" I am pretty sure is inaccurate. As far as I know, he is originally American. Both Arghoslent, and GBK formed in Virginia, in the early 90's.

I should have said, "If he didn't move back". Since he is American, but always felt weird knowing that the same guy who thinks of life in terms of race and such could get along really well with South Americans and enjoy a pretty popular and working-class activity as playing a game with friends before a few beers. Maybe something happened after, I don't really know.

Working class doesn't exempt you from being racist, homophobic and misogynist, and especially the football world is very late in that kind of issues, sexist bigoted racist and xenophobic comments are very very very very common among football fans. Don't fool yourself, Gelal was already the same way he is now in Argentina, that's why he got interested in the holigaan world of football, because it's a very accessible place for people with his shitty mentality.

Anyone know the lineup for the new album?

Dude plays in a band that sings about how black people are genetically inferior violent brutes, expresses his love for hooliganism and violence. I don't expect much introspection from a guy like this but damn.

I am not defending Gelal by any means but football culture in Argentina and South America in general is a little bit different than in Europe, is a lot more popular and "third-world" (I don't know how to put it in another way). The hooligans here are more like a gang, not really the type of guys that you think superior or tall, white, blonde, you know the nazi stereotype. It always seems weird to me that an actual white supremacist could get along with something that most racists would despise, you know.

To illustrate what I am saying, please at least see a few minutes of this "The Real Football Factories International" episode, you will understand why I think is weird that a white supremacist would like any of this.

That's the point, the stereotype of the tall white blond male is the stereotype that the Nazis themselves have in their heads, in reality most Nazis don't live up to that stereotype and are uncomfortable with their own appearance.

Yeah, I saw that...wasn't sure if that was still accurate or not. I remember reading the new album was recorded in Germany, so I was wondering if it was the Kohanic Charmers lineup with Unhold handeling vocals instead of Ulfhedinn?

Well I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't think Unhold is doing vocals for this album. He sounds more like a black metal vocalist, so unless he changed up his usual vocal style, I don't think he would fit with Arghoslent. Also the guy that did vocals on Hornets of the Pogrom, left the band before it was even released, and Ulfhedinn has technically been their vocalist since 2007. I think it would be kinda disappointing in a way, if he didn't finally get to do vocals for a proper full length, after being in the band for so many years now. I'm sure we will find out soon enough.

edit: I noticed the album has now been added to this web site, and it has the same current line-up listed for it. I'm not sure if it's truly accurate though...

I'm not sure either, but Unhold seems to have shoe-horned himself into GBK and Absurd, so who knows. Not that I mind, I like his vocal delivery, but I would prefer Ulfhedinn for sure.

Ulfhedinn's vocals are super underrated imo, they work super well, and it'd be a shame to see another vocalist in his place. Idk if it'd be accurate to post the full album lineup at this time, unless the person who somehow got access to the time stamps of all the songs on the album also knew the album features the same lineup as the 2009 split, which I'd really love to know how they got that information. Also 50 minute album, hope it isn't as boring and drawn out as Galloping was

Thanks for the heads up on this. The album is still listed as a 'pre-order' on their site, they haven't updated it yet. I had been checking once a day. I give it until Monday, at latest, for when the album is on the internet to hear.

What's with the production? It's ultra-compressed mud.
Most bland vocals they've had yet. The lyrics...? Who knows. You can't understand them by ear, and you can't read them.
Glad I didn't order this or give much of a shit about it.

I didn't like Kohanic Charmers a whole lot either. Turns out striking while the iron is hot probably makes more sense in metal than taking nearly 2 decade hiatuses.

I went back and listened to a bit of Hornets because I don't remember Arghoslent sounding this... senile. 15 years on and the decline is unmistakable.

Apparently it was just recorded in one of their houses, not a studio. That can work sometimes but that doesn't always mean an album has "DIY charm" or whatever, sometimes it can just sound bad and demo-llke.
I guess studios are for nerds, or something? That's still Gelal's schtick, right? Calling people nerds?

Wow, this sounds really half-assed. I guess Gelal is aware that he doesn't need to make an effort anymore, because racists will continue to buy his shit on preorder because they love supporting racist bands.

Nice to see they've still got it. By which I mean the ability to make music by and for brainless contemptible freaks.

I just got done with my first listen of this. The actual music itself sounds good enough to me, seems like it fits in fine with the rest of their discography. The production though is another story, I mean to be fair this band never did have the best sounding production on their previous stuff. But they definitely could've done a better job with it on this one. Is this really the same vocalist from that "Send Forth the Best Ye Breed" split? If it is, he sounded better on that. The 14 years from when that was released, and to this new album haven't seemed to age well for him.

I was also wondering if anyone here, that ordered this, has received their order yet? And if you have, were any lyrics provided with it, or is it the same deal like we got with Kohanic Charmers?

I heard there are no lyrics included. It's a Weltenfeind release, and for whatever reason (read: probably legal reasons) it's common practice for German labels/labels focused on the German market to not include any printed lyrics for releases like this.

Every time I attempt one of these "legendary" albums from giga racists I'm always a bit whelmed even if I do like it. Like Arghoslent have really good albums, but not a masterpiece to be found, nothing unforgettable. Starting to think maybe the other giga racists are just really persistent in overrating this shit lol.

It became clear to me the day I saw "Hipster Black Metal" claiming that Arghoslent was a better band than Bolt Thower.

Yeah, the album is not that great. Last 2 tracks are quite good but why do I have to shift through 7 duds to get there. Disappointing. Doesn't hold a candle to theirn2nd or 3rd record
