Hellwitch will release their third full length album later this year, via Listenable Records. It took 19 years between the first and second full length, so the 10 years since the second one is almost half as much time!

Patrick Ranieri says:
"After a decade of strategic planning and musical manipulation... the new Hellwitch album will bombastically obliterate all those who have survived our previous releases. The album will contain a maelstrom of barbarity spanning from 1985 to present. Crowning tracks such as 'Anthropophagi', 'Delegated Disruption', 'Solipsistic Immortality' and the song 'Hellwitch' will reveal what true, pioneering Florida deathrash really is. Make no mistake, earplugs can't save you! Satan won't save you! Even the bomb shelter beneath your city's center will provide no protection from this monarchical metal mysterium!!! Begin the countdown to cataclysmic ignition!"

"From 1985 to present" suggests that there are also new songs. What percentage is new/old, I have no idea of. But of the four titles mentioned, only two have been released before to my knowledge, but only on demos/compilations.

Frankly, I think many old bands have good to great demo songs never put on albums, but which certainly have enough quality in them.

This would be great news if that new one were a direct successor to their MLP...But with so many years inbetween, let's not expect the glorious Hellwitch of old...

I'm sure this will be good, they still slay live, all their modern stuff has been great, and half of this at least is coming from 1990s demos songs at a glance.

While I am a bit disappointed it's not an album of completely new material I am glad that we're getting something new from Hellwitch. Not enough bands out there are doing their sort of technical death/thrash style

If the only re-recorded tracks are from old demos, then I don't think I have a big problem with that. I usually hate when bands rerecord old tracks from actual studio albums though.

Song is alright. Better than a lot of the other graybeard death metal bands. I guess I'll give it a spin when it comes out.

Need to get on this. Been hearing great things about it from folks whose tastes I trust.
