Has anyone heard anything about a Metal Blade re-issue of Death - Symbolic on vinyl or a Relapse re-issue of Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked on vinyl? Those both need to be done stat.

Mezzrow will have their only album, Then Came the Killing, reissued by Hammerheart Records this May.

Pretty surprising news to hear, because I was talking to a metal record label that specializes in reissuing hard to find/out of print metal albums, and he had been trying to come across members of the band to speak to about it for years. He had no luck with it. However, it looks like another record label must have come across the band members, and a reissue will be on the way this spring!

Tynator will receive a two CD (and probably vinyl?) reissue of their only album with a second CD full of demo and unreleased songs. New artwork and new remastering courtesy of Bart Gabriel. It will be released by Back on Black.

Picked up Xentrix' debut re-issue on vinyl. Sounds awesome. Guitars are just heavier when listening to vinyl.

Also heard that Metal Blade is re-pressing Metal Massacre 1. I have shitty sounding picture discs of the first 5 so I might just have to pick that one up.

High Roller Records just released Torment in Fire and Forward to Termination from Sacrifice on CD but it's only for Europeans. Hopefully Hells Headbangers manages to get some, they seem to be the only US distro that sells HRR stuff.

Shadow Kingdom are releasing the first three Sacrifice albums on CD (and cassette), which is why these are European only.

Out now on Heidens Hart:

Barathrum – Demo(no)s (2CD)
All pre-“Hailstorm” studio recordings compiled and for the first and only time ever released on CD format. All the official demos by Barathrum, as well as other historical artifacs. These demos were restored and mastered from original demo tapes, carefully preserving the true spirit and the devilish sounds. There are several Barathrum demos circulating in the internet from different rips with varying sound, and most of them are wrongfully named or just bad copies from copies from copies. To complete this compendium with the band’s full 1991 to 1993 discography, this 2CD includes two releases not on the 3LP set: the “Soaring up from hell” rehearsal demo and the long lost and unreleased album of Barathrum from the year 1993 called “Warmetal”. Fully official, produced in close cooperation with Barathrum and Saturnal Productions. If you order both this and the “Devilry” MCD you will receive a free replica from “Battlecry”, the bands own magazine from ’93 with interviews, photos, bio, etc.

Barathrum – Devilry (MCD)
For the first and only time ever released on CD format. It includes four tracks that later would be re-recorded on their fourth full-length album “Legions of Perkele”. Where the album versions took a cleaner direction productionwise, this raw demo edition is over 20 minutes of pure possessed black/doom and the perfect follow-up to “Eerie”. Fully official, produced in close cooperation with the band.

Out now on Osmose Productions:

Info: The legacy of Ukrainian Suppuration on CD for the first time ever! The band mostly remembered as the death metal precursor of Nokturnal Mortum created two demos and one EP in obscure times of 1991-1993, and now you can taste these underground treasures on one release under the title of “Ecclesiastical Blasphemy”. Pure death metal of the early nineties in all of its unholy glory is equipped with layouts of original tape editions, band photos, scans of hand-written lyrics sketches and other archival materials.

Including:
Ecclesiastical Blasphemy (demo, 1992)
Unspeacable Journey into Subconscious World (demo, 1993)
Cosmic Flight Around Astralsphere (EP, 1993)

Sooo... can someone say something more about these reissues? Is the remastered sound ok? I have Marquee reissues but I don't like them (mainly because of the changes in album art).

When’s Death in the Blue Lake (1988) has never been issued on CD before. This is your chance to make it happen. There’s only ONE day left of the crowdfunding though, and it is only 48% financed, so you need to be quick if you want one. Satyricon used part from Death in the Blue Lake as the intro for the Dark Medieval Times album (1993).

Oh fuck that's awesome, I love that album and I just so happened to check this thread and discover that there's a re-issue.
I also got the reissues of Arcturus's Asper Hiems Symfonia and Constellation/My Angel. I guess they're two separate releases now, which I find interesting because previously all three were released together in one compilation. I also am pleasantly surprised that De Profundis had a re-issue, I was not expecting that.
Are there any available re-issues of Aspid's Extravasation that are not the sped-up version?

Svart Records to reissue Demigod's Slumber of Sullen Eyes

According to the comments there will be 3 color variants for vinyl, one of which is black. CD will be a "digipack with a fat booklet."

Quote:
You ask, we deliver: one of our most asked for album titles, the first Demigod album “Slumber of Sullen Eyes”, is finally coming for pre-sale this week. Keep an eye open for this 30th anniversary CD/LP/MC reissue!

Cool to see that. I have the Xtreem reissue and while I appreciated being able to get a cheaper physical copy over paying out the ass for an original press it really doesn't do the album justice. And the artwork they used sucked.

I bought it earlier this year from Hammerheart Records' site.

It comes with two discs, the other one consisting of the band's demos.

If you don't mind a bigger package, I'm pretty sure that this release is still in print - it's the exact same 6 albums and likely to be a lot cheaper.

Cool, hopefully. I'd never heard of Dissonance, but judging from their discogs page they've reissued a fuck-ton of stuff, some remastered, some not, across all kinds of metal subgenres. Anyone have any experience with their remaster jobs? I'm not sure if the Vicious Rumors set will be -- though I did see that the 3rd CD is the Live in Tokyo thing that came out after Welcome to the Ball. Short but not bad track list, assuming you like those Atlantic years. And it says the Solitude Aeturnus albums are remastered but not by whom.

edit: I'm going to assume that eleven minute version of "Lady Took a Chance" has just a bit of soloing, ha.

Iron Maiden re-releasing The Number of the Beast on vinyl with Beast over Hammersmith added for its 40th anniversary. Also Total Eclipse replaces Gangland on the album. Doesn't say is the live album remixed, remastered or something.

Sacrilege. "Total Eclipse" is a great song, but "Gangland" has long been one of their most overlooked tunes. Killer song.

I just recently re-ordered this reissue.

Weren't Vic Records going to be reissuing Chemical Breath's sophomore album, Values? I know they've reissued their debut, Fatal Exposure, and a compilation of their demos, but what happened with reissuing their second and final full-length release?
