Sodom usually do pretty well on cover art. But this? I've never liked this artwork. It always felt like lazy shock value or phoning it in. It's smushed between Masquerade in Blood and Code Red, both of which have good cover art. To this day I've never actually sat through the whole album.


Weird cover, no doubt, but one of my favorite 90s Sodom albums. Lots of little gems on that one.

Monstrosity's "Millennium" is a fantastic death metal record, and I especially love Corpsegrinder's vocals on that album as well as Imperial Doom. But with those poorly-aged CGI balls on the cover, plus the weird background proportions, this cover overall just came off as tacky and stupid.

It's definitely an ugly cover, but for me it falls into the 'so bad it's good' category. At least it's memorable.
It reminds me of weird mid-to-late 90s shareware games

Not as horrible as others posted here, but... It always bothered me how pixelated this album cover is, when I first saw it I thought it was just a poor quality image but no, this is the actual cover.

The Queensryche album cover is just boring, and the pixalization just makes it look both ugly AND boring.

The Tulus cover would be better without the tresses. Maybe if it was clearer what he does with his hands too?

I find it highly fascinating that the Queensryche cover is so pixellated like that, so I'm certainly not bored by it!

TBF it's true that it distinguishes itself from all the covers where it's only a symbol, and there are a lot of those, and they're all boring and uninspired. So I guess that it's true, it's maybe not THAT boring!

The first one wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't colored the skeleton doing yoga and their ridiculous logo taking half the picture. Second pic definitely looks like something I drew on on my notebook in middle school.

That is the problem. Is a bad cover, and bad covers are endemic for this reason. Few people pay attention to creating something decent when making their records, because metallers are used to settling for little.
