It's weird, the first three albums look like a Olga Romanova solo project, with those cover arts focused around her and her name well displayed on the front cover. But then at one point she leaves the band and the rest of the group goes Einstein mode, finds a new singer and puts her on the cover, like if anybody wouldn't notice the difference

I'm listening to The World I've Lost and I actually like it more than I remember. I'm not sure the average metalhead is the right audience for it. It's more of a catchy hard rock sound, and reminds me of some of mid-era Nemesea's material, especially in the vocals. Sorry, but I think your anti-patriotism is backfiring. (= |

I think you've actually convinced me they're extremely underrated. These vocals are pretty remarkable, especially for only having 316 views. The guitar and drum production could use a little work, but I can overlook them.

Well, I'd say she's a good, trained singer, but nothing special, honest. We have hundreds of Gnesinka graduates like that running around. You want a remarkable female singer from Russia doing hard rock, try Olga Kormukhina. Yes she's probably old enough to be that girl's mother, but, well, not like there's a gazillion outstanding singers anywhere these days.

That WASP was a weirdly designed digipak that would open to reveal some sort of horrid, dead monstrosity in the fridge. Mine's in storage but there are images on google -- though for some reason all I can find are ones of a different version that combined the open and shut door. Anyway it wasn't great but it fit in with that whole dismal 90s idiom of dark, blurry shit. edit: or maybe that "combined" image was in fact the inner image. It's been a while. |

One of the only guys who can get away with making riveting yet sexually explicit material that musical artists use is H.R. Giger. This was the original poster insert for Dead Kennedy's Frankenchrist and they unsuccessfully brought Jello Biafra to court for it. VERY NSFW.

Looking at this thread is oddly nostalgic. It reminds me of browsing the metal section at used CDs shops. I spotted more than a few covers here that I remember seeing in one of those shops. And there are some others that would fit here, if only i could remember the name of the band (that was a long time ago!). |
