I have a much bigger problem with the album title Power (W)Hor(e) from a band called Lesbian.

I picked the thing up in the shop because of the awful artwork, played it and it was awesome then discovered their name etc later, it's almost impossible to read on the CD itself from memory.
The cover folds right out by the way, I'll put up a photo since I can't find one anywhere.

Ok, not an atrocity per se (well, unless you're a Christian), but I don't think it's a very good cover really. Mostly 'cause I think the perspective is off. Why are the hammer and the crucifier's hand so much bigger compared to Christ's head? Even with the hand on the board in the foreground it still doesn't really match up. Christ must be like 3 feet tall here. Either that or the executioner is a giant. I think it's based on an image from that snuff film Mel Gibson did, with some *ahem* liberties taken. I do like the color scheme, however.

Vital Remains - Icons of Evil

The perspective is perhaps exaggerated, but I do actually think the hammer-wielder is supposed to be some sort of giant, or at least someone much bigger than scrawny ol' Jeebus. Extreme low-angle perspective is a tricky thing to pull off in a painting. Besides, the gatefold interior artwork on that album is awesome.


That nun cover sucks btw. If you're going to do nun porn at least get a hot girl to be the nun, not your fat retarded second-cousin.

If it was an aesthetic choice, well I find that silly too, since you don't need to make the guy a giant demon or whatever to make the image anymore shocking than it already is. Anyway, that Faust album is actually pretty decent. Just take a peek at the line-up and I think you'll be surprised. And like a friend of mine says, an album cover with tits on it is always one to remember.
