Think it was some Facebook comment on his private profile that said something along the lines of 'why don't you finally send Jef the artist copies he is yet to receive and just own up to all the scamming and stealing once and for all', after Blake posted some high and mighty 'I overcame my demons and I came back stronger, wiser and a more humbled man than I ever was ever before, but I'm moving house in a week so please help me get rid of stuff I can no longer sell through regular channels' statement.

Jesus, I had to paste that last rant into a text-to-speech reader, wasn't about to waste my actual energy reading that. If he wants to claim JI wasn't the copyright holder of any of his music and technically had no right to step in and dispute any of the releases, that's just what he should have said all along.

Also got around to checking out the EP today. Usual halfway decent Nachtmystium songs. Although listening to his lyrics at this point was a different distracting experience, listening to him suck himself off as a "resilient survivor" and the spoken word parts about ODing lol.

I'd like to hear an album where the lyrics are his internet rants read in his vocal style. "Anyone who knows meeeeeee, knows that I'm not stuuuupiiiiddddd."

The sad part is that judging from the responses to the new ep preview (unless they aren't sockpuppet accounts, because who can put anything past Flake Crudd anymore?) people out there are *still* willing and eager to give him chances.

I give up.

I mean, he still makes decent music but how many people are actually buying it? It's not like he's gonna make any money from my Spotify streams.

Wasn't he teasing test pressings, bonus goodies or some shit with the preorders of the new ep? If someone still falls for that evolution has officially failed.

Unless he doesn't own the rights to his digital distribution... then yeah, at 15,000 monthly listeners (let's assume each listener streams at minimum 10 tracks per month which is a very conservative number) he is definitely making decent money from Spotify.

I think all of you pussies should form a gang and beat the money out of him. That's the only payback you will get from a drug addict, their bloodied skin. Some people are just animals, or should i say most people. Because if he truely will stay away from drugs he wont pay anyone cos he feels "oh so sorry for himself" that he had to go thru "hell of drug addiction" it's just narcisst taking pleasure with other people's money and those people never learn. I have had unfortunate fate of running into these kind of people on my personal life.

According to Spotify 1,000 streams is about $7, and that's pretty accurate from my experience. So rexxz's estimate of 150k streams would be about $1,050.

Wrong, try close to 600-700 USD a month with that amount of plays (not all streams have the same payout rate so this is just the most conservative estimate, which could be even higher actually). I have several musical projects on Spotify and I know *exactly* what their payouts are like.

I already make over a dollar a month with my projects that like five people know and two of them like. Spotify definitely pays well.

I'm not surprised to see he "closed up shop" already. He made his quick cash, and now he's off to play the festival circuit with Nachtmystium in 2019. No one will ever do anything to this guy, for whatever reason.

If those estimates are accurate, that's above what a full-time, minimum wage job would pay in most states in the US.

It's really fascinating how you guys know the band's exact label contract details, royalty splits, and copyright ownership details so you you're able to perfectly estimate their income like this.

I specifically stated "Unless he doesn't own the rights to his digital distribution... then yeah," and so forth, so yes what I said is 100% correct. Obviously if he doesn't retain the rights to digital distribution, then it would be entirely moot, which is why I gave the qualifier before my statement. Thought that was kind of obvious.

Former bandmate of Nachtmystium (Andrew Markuszewski) posted the following on the NWN! board. Pretty interesting read

----------------------

It's time for me to chime in here on this Blake Judd saga.

A brief history: I've known Blake since we were both still teenagers when I began writing Nachtmystium songs with him soon after we met. At that time, the Reign of the Malicious record was coming out on Sombre and all that. Later on down the road, Andrew Harris funny enough actually engineered the MCD for us himself in Blake's parents basement when they were out of town. Beyond that I helped him write the Demise record, there was a song or two I remember with my riffs off the next Eulogy and Instinct Decay records, and then when I came back into the picture in 2010 or 2011 I was heavily touring in the band in North America and Europe and would write a huge chunk again on the Silencing Machine record.

I ended up quiting before the band left for that metal festival cruise disaster. I have my reasons. I was finding out about his new wave of scams to the fans and unfullfilled orders. That was by no means the first wave of his shit as there are stories about him doing it even with his first label. Beyond that, of course watching him shoot up during practice was getting really old. The guy blew through about 60 grand or so on dope in the span of about three months after he settled his lawsuit with Dominicks food market or whatever where he broke his poor leg on the wet floor inside the store a few years before. He was on shrooms or oxycotin at the time of that incident. According to him he was going to be a millionaire, but by that time he was such a mess from heroin that he was eager for anything and settled for whatever he could get of which his lawyer got a hefty percentage and he got the rest. Like I said, he burned through it in the span of a few months.

I could tell you all plenty of stories good and bad about all of it, but that's not why I joined this forum and this is my first post. I should say I have no regrets about any of it. All the touring, debauchery, and chaos was great. I made some epic highlights for myself, but there's plenty of lows even on my part. In the end - no fucking regrets. I'm happy to say I never took to the needle like his junkie ass. I know there have been fans of the band here on the forum, some now who spit on the material because of Blake's actions, and also people who never thought anything of the band. I could care less. I'm a fan of the parts I've been involved with. Of course I'm biased. Not to say I listen to them since I don't really listen to my own music often. I haven't listened to Nachtmystium in years.

To put it straight, I know Blake better than anyone here. The guy is obviously a huge sociopath so yeah you guys figured that part out. To be honest you guys don't know the half of it even with all the shit filtering through the media or peoples posts about unfullfilled orders through his most newest label scam and whatever else. He lies so much he believes his own lies. He's also a masterful manipulator and enjoys doing so. He's had an epic run I must say. I almost have to hand it to him. He knows how to play a victim while being the victimizer. Classic sociopathy 101. Me? This is not a part of my nature, and I play victim to no one.

I was following this thread for a bit, and someone made a post about his lyrics from the new Nachtmystium ep put out by Prophecy who can also suck a big dick. I'm also a member of Lord Mantis and the one behind Avichi. At one point, Charlie Fell who was playing drums for me in Avichi and I recorded three songs before I wrote The Devil's Fractal record. I decided never to release those songs since afterwards I wanted the next release to have an entire different theme. I guess I quickly grew out of them, however, I played them for Blake at some point and he was enamoured by them. One of those tracks was called Fire Heart.

A year or two after I quit Nachtmystium and stopped communicating with Blake, he put out that terrible record with the shitty artwork on the cover. I noticed there was a song on it called "Fire Heart". Now from what I remember the riffs had nothing to do with the one I wrote, but still I was a bit annoyed by the fact he blatantly ripped off a song title that I had from years back even though it was a song I never had released.

Fast forward to now where I came across some new lyrics of his in a post a few pages back.

"Too selfish to die
Fire burns in my heart
Flames in my eyes
The jouney continues
Fearless in my new ?
Mind, body and spirit
Resilient survivor returns from hell"

Atrocious lyrics by him the way they are assembled no doubt (which is also why Chris Black was writing a lot of lyrics for a good while). Of course there's the whole fire heart theme here in these lyrics AGAIN, but there's also the line "Flames in my eyes" which is literally word for word directly taken from the second song title on Avichi's Catharsis Absolute album and final record.

This is something I noticed, and it's important enough to me to point this out to everyone in this thread. I'm not pissed, and I'm not honored by it. I find it simply sad and pathetic. I wanted to point this out as one more sign of his character to everyone here. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I also never got any publishing for my work in the band except for the Silencing Machine record when I rejoined years later and was more knowledgeable about such matters. Blake certainly isn't the type of person to go out of his way to mention such things to someone else when he'd rather put everything in his name if he can get away with it. Plenty of money involved. Even with Silencing Machine I remember him crediting me for less than I deserved lyrically in the liner notes even though I did manage to sqeeze what I deserved in the actual legal publishing. It's just fucking stupid and all so tiresome. I'm glad to have rejected his new hand of friendship when he resurfaced and was 'reborn'.

By the way, it's true Harris is super pissed about all the Judas Iscariot re-releases Blake attempted to do.

Still far from over, I see.

Not that any of this surprises me; I'd never expect this cockroach to have any respect for his bandmates unlike anyone else.

If he shut down AMM, it is pretty much over. He has his "dead stock" to sell on ebay, and no one is ever getting what they are owed.

Why is this still going so strong? Are people really that fanatic for mediocre USBM or is it just the semi-pornographic obsession of watching a junkie fucking up?

Love how all the AMM shit he's selling is clearly marked as unofficial in the Discogs database, yet they still let him put that garbage on sale (a ton of bootlegs and unsanctioned pressings are forbidden for that reason). That site really sucks at abiding by its own rules.

Laughed way too hard at the incoherent, meth fueled drivel he put in the release notes. I'm also incredibly entertained by the obvious attempts at shifting the narrative ('I've heard this and I've been told that and I've read such and so about AMM but I absolutely have no idea who these people even are and I certainly don't know them personally but trust me anyway even though I have zero feedback, DON'T ACCEPT PAYPAL and only offer sketchy payment alternatives instead, YOU GUYS!!'). Imagine giving Blake Judd your credit card information, hilarious..

He's copypasting his own rants and fake seller narratives by now. His antics could make the best PSA about the dangers of drug abuse ever. I've never witnessed firsthand such a bottomless maelstrom of degeneration, lost dignity and shamelessness.

Apparently there was also an EBay account that was also selling AMM stuff affiliated with the new discogs account. Interestingly, there were no items for sale when I checked it, and links to items that were being sold seem to show the whole thing was cancelled. Maybe Blake just gave up on that end after being caught so fast.

From new Discogs member TUC666 AKA The Underground Apothecary

"I am NOT affiliated with the label who released this album. Simply a record collector / buyer & seller who came across a small stash of copies of these and a number of other AMM releases in varying quantities (along with what I'm told was most of their distro) and bought it all up for a great price because I know this stuff is now nearly impossible to find and in high demand.

Please do not message me with questions concerning the labels current status, their owners (I don't know them), or anything else concerning business you or someone you know may have had / currently has with them. I listed several releases in my (new) store today and I've already been contacted asking if I am / was affiliated with this label or in contact with them - the answer is absolutely "No" to all inquiries on this front. This was all acquired from someone who bought these items wholesale from the label directly when they closed down and moved recently was what I've been told.

I'm simply listing this item as I have a few of these besides my own copy and I wanted to make them available to other buyers here who might be interested, because - as I'm told, this is nearly impossible to find. Feel free to send a message if you have a question about my details in this submission. Thank you."

Blake Judd through and through. Reads exactly like his last fake persona, Sound Seance, wasn't it called?

Correct. And yes, there's no way that's not him (again). Everything about that profile is basically a dna test confirmation.

Sound Seance and The Underground Apothecary... He has the originality of a 13-year-old on LiveJournal. No wonder Chris Black had to write all of the Nachtmystium lyrics!

Good read. This part stands out as that is the standard with Blake for the last 15+ years. In 2002 Ceremonial Castings wrote a track called "Come Forth... Damnation" on the chaos chapter demo, which at one point was shared with Blake. The following year in 2003 Blake writes a similar song and calls it "Come Forth, Devastation".

His first label, Battle Kommand Records, scammed alot of people over the last decade. At one point I remember Blake going on forums talking about cancelling the 2006 GBK/Nachtmystium in Europe due to people threatening to harm him if I recall correctly. I get some people like giving second chances, but once you've hit the 3rd or 4th time you have no one else to blame.

Why do people care so much about this guy?

He seems to have a good eye/ear for stylish/kvlt/cool stuff and references, but how long has it been since he's been committing crimes etc? Four years or so? It's all so boring, repetitive, pages after pages after pages of minute details of scams. We could all be reading a good book, and his entire crime career can probably be summarised in a couple of wikipedia paragraphs.

He knows how to write music and so on, but it doesn't sound that original or groundbreaking to me. Surely, he picks ultra stylish references (combining black metal with The Cure, Velvet Underground, etc) but it doesn't even sound THAT creative. I've listened to far, far more creative metal in the last few years.

Mithras ON STRANGE LOOPS or Zeal and Ardour, for instance, are far, far, far, far more creative than this (I'm listening to the new Nacht album now).

Maybe people are attracted to him because of the crime persona/outlaw image etc.

His music seems ok, I've listened to a couple of albums. But this is a 21 page thread, and it seems other metal boards also relish in discussing every minute detail of a guy who in the end is kind of a boring junkie who makes bootlegs and scams people, playing kind of sad introspective black metal.

I mean, if you want to listen to this type of black metal, even Shining is much, much more creative than his music. It least it seems to me.

In 20 years someone should make the abridged version of all these thousands of words about him. I sincerely don't think this deserves so many years and pages of discussion.

If I were him I would release a book/album/dvd telling the entire story, in a nice package with a new album, deluxe edition, 220 grams vinyl etc to cash in. People are certainly interested. :)

how long has it been since he's been committing crimes etc? Four years or so?

He knows how to write music and so on

Maybe people are attracted to him because of the crime persona/outlaw image etc.

why do people care? because scam artists (in any music scene) need to be called out. i guess you've never been ripped off before. there's a new nachmystium record out over on prophecy... why don't you go preorder a test pressing from flake? i hear he need some money for "medicine".

try more like over a decade, going back to battle kommand. he's been scamming fans, labels, and bandmates for a long time. go ask yosuke and jef about how they feel. he's in for them for hundreds of records, and thousands of dollars.

he's a mediocre songwriter who's used others to prop up his passing skills. see; twilight, and past incarnations of nachtmystium. he's been using other more talented people to prop him up.

no one is attracted to his "crime persona/outlaw image etc."; people just feel sorry for a dishonestly apologetic sociopath who claims he's cleaned up his act, then get rooked in the process. this last scam, and his defenders, are perfect examples.

He almost got me with the JI shit. Getting your hands on physical copies of this stuff can be tricky, especially since you’re almost always dealing with shady people. Flake knows this, so unfortunately he scams fans over and over. If you’ve ever been interested in buying something from someone other than FYE or Best Buy maybe you’d be less condescending. Threads like these are important, especially when they try to keep track of someone like Flake, who is literally creating new handles on any platform that would let him to try to move material he may or may not have.

Wrong; he is committing crimes RIGHT NOW by pressing and selling unauthorized pirated records and CDs, advertising them as legit while they are nothing but cheap and horribly made bootlegs.

"Adam Warlock" got banned already in the Uada thread so he won't be able to respond, apparently it's Civil trying to make a comeback (you might remember him for a particular thread a few years back...).

It's all so boring, repetitive, pages after pages after pages of minute details of scams. We could all be reading a good book, and his entire crime career can probably be summarised in a couple of wikipedia paragraphs.

No one is forcing you to read any of this. Go read a good book.

Dude’s halfway through a Horrible Harry, it’s tough when there’s three straight pages of no pictures. I’m sure he’ll finish it eventually!
