Do you record local gigs? Which hardware or software do you use to do so?

I usually record local gigs, rock and metal, then post a couple of songs on Youtube.

It's interesting how the sound varies from a recording to another...
The harder to capture seem to be the most extreme bands with a lot of blastbeats, or or very compressed music with a lot of technical and complex parts.

I often use a Blackberry Q5 phone for video/ audio, and sometimes ZOOM H1 for audio.

Here are my records. I've uploaded videos on YouTube and organized with playlists.

Forgotten Tomb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEmAq6y ... kiobD_lrZj (This time I used my camera Nikon D5100)
Moonspell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27bik6U ... 5ajhJUSm9e (This time I used iPhone 6)
Pain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbKSfnl ... Ns3wftAVZQ (iPhone 6)

Hopefully I will get more videos from the upcoming Paradise Lost gig in Poland this October.

I recently bought a SONY camera, and the results are better.
Zooming on the musicians is a good thing.

Now, do some peoples use some lapel microphones?
Would be nice to plug one in the ZOOM H1 recorder, to keep one hand free, but not sure about the sound quality...

I sometimes do live soundtech jobs and use my Behringer X32 mixer to record multitrack audio that I later mix and synch with video.
I have some old Canon Ixus 130 to film with

Here's one of the recent gigs with a band called Second Sun:

Here my dads band plays a Ramones cover:

I've recorded my one of my own bands too. But this was filmed with my bandmates GoPro and I couldn't get video to synch with video
Youtube: show

I'll record/film a lot more once my band starts playing more live soon
