Boy, talk about a pleasant (or unpleasant) surprise! I love black metal, as a whole, but every once in awhile, it does get stale. The repetitive nature of the music does get boring.

However, I stumbled upon "Bog of the Infidel" and to my surprise that they put so much work in the guitars department. Listening to the first song on the Proud Descendants of Satan called The Great Deformity, the guitar soloing at the very end of the song is just mind-blowing. It's so rare sometimes to hear in Black Metal. I'm listening to the entire album and I'm loving how energetic their music could be. Usually, black metal is a very downer genre especially the slower stuff but this was a very good surprise for me.

Any fans of the band? I might check more of their stuff since their first album impressed the hell out of me.

Also hopefully they take it as a sign they're not meant to make more albums.
