Just saw a post on Morgue Supplier's FB page, recording stuff for the new album will begin in about two months. Assuming everything will go according to plan, might be a new MS in 2019, which makes me absolutely goddamn thrilled :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :headbang:

Wretched Fate - Fleshletting

Image

Comes out today here, tomorrow in the United States. Death metal with a lot of OSDM vibes, particularly in the guitar tone, and a small amount of tech. Sounds pretty good to me and fans of old-school sounding death metal like Vomitory and Dismember should get some enjoyment here.

I saw the Demanufacture tour and Burton sounded pretty good. Far better than the Industrialist show a few years prior, when his voice was woeful. Not sure if he used any sort of tools or effects to assist him, but there was a big difference in quality.

Anyway, Dino has confirmed that he's been involved in lawsuits and made bankrupt recently, so seems the Chris/Ray suing them story is true.

This could explain the delay of FF´s new album. I still think there is something strange between him and Burton. Hopefully 2019 should be the year for a new record.

Murg - Strävan
I was just checking up on these guys the other day and hoping for a new release soon, so this is a nice surprise! One of my favorite new bands from the past 5 years for sure, glad they are keeping busy with a third album in about as many years.
Spoiler: show

So apparently the new October Tide will be out in May 17th.

Spoiler: show
--- NEW ALBUM REVEALED! ---

Today we present you the cover artwork, tracklisting and pre-orders for our new studio album "In Splendor Below", which will be released on May 17th via Agonia Records.

To pre-order the album (CD/LP/APPAREL) visit: http://agoniarecords.com/insplendorbelow.

According to October Tide's founder & guitarist Fredrik Norrman, this new album is "a bit more aggressive, a bit more death metal, and with an overall colder feeling than previous records", including its 2016 predecessor, "Winged Waltz".

The latest addition to our discography features Fredrik on guitars, his brother Mattias on guitars (a former member of Katatonia alongside Fredrik), vocalist Alexander Högbom (Demonical), bassist Johan Jönsegård (Letters From The Colony) and drummer Jonas Sköld (Letters From The Colony / Thenighttimeproject).

The ghostly cover artwork was painted by Tomarum av Christine Linde. We've teamed up with Karl Daniel Lidén Produktion for mixing and mastering at Tri-Lamb Studios (Bloodbath, Katatonia, Breach, Craft), while Alexander Backlund from Nailvillage Studio (Thenighttimeprojectt / Letters From The Colony) is responsible for production alongside October Tide.

Here's the trackslist & album formats!

Tracklist:
1. I, The Polluter
2. We Died in October
3. Ögonblick Av Nåd
4. Stars Starve Me
5. Our Famine
6. Guide My Pulse
7. Seconds
8. Envy of the Moon

Somehow I've got the idea this might end up interesting. The post-breakup stuff that I had heard was okayish but felt safe, so a change might do the band good.

EDIT: new song here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIdU93hXHqk

Not sure how I feel about it. The intro was cool though.

The Well is releasing a new album called Death and Consolation on April 26. Link to article and song stream

The article says the album takes them out of doom and into post punk. I don't know anything about post punk, but the single streaming in the article sounds like uptempo stoner rock/metal to me, except maybe the bit with keyboards. I liked it, though it was a tad repetitive.

Teitanblood announced new album "The Baneful Choir" for late 2019. Absolutely amazing news! They also have some new merch, so I am gonna pick up a tanktop and enjoy waiting for the beast.

I really like how is this year turning out so far, Ved Buens Ende going to play live, in few weeks I am gonna see Tormentor live, I got floored by that unexpected Drastus album, new Vircolac sounding good as well, high hopes for new Chevalier, Krypts and now this...

...also wondering what kind of weirdness are !T.O.O.H.! going to put out, we shall see already 1st April :)

Death is probably the best extreme metal album ever recorded. I really hope The Baneful Choir is at least as good as Seven Chalices.

I was so disappointed with Death. I'm cautiously optimistic for the new one.

I like both Death and Seven Chalices a lot. They are also pretty different sounding, I would say. So curious how this new one is gonna sound.

I don’t think anyone mentioned the new Enthroned. Very excited for it and the new track they released gives me Emptiness vibes while still retaining the black metal-ness. As a band they’ve shifted quite a bit from their more orthodox sound but I really do love the eerie/unsettling atmosphere they are producing.

Oh boy how good is that Emptiness album "Nothing but the Whole"

Goddamn, another band a lot of people are sleeping on. Although surprisingly it's got quite a few positive reviews here on MA.

I’m a huge Emptiness advocate. Love all their stuff and they are probably one of the most unique bands today.

I've been looking forward to new material from Diviner for a couple years now and was very excited to learn they've got a full length set to release on June 7th, called Realms of Time. They released a single last week and it is insanely catchy shit. Reminds me of what Dio would sound like with more PM influence.

New Firespawn track out “The Great One” from their forthcoming album Abominate. Gotta say it’s the most monstrous LG has sounded in a long time even compared to the previous albums. Stellar guitar work again and Modin’s drumming is stupefying as always. Definitely looking forward to this!

I got the promo for Spirit Adrift's upcoming album Divided by Darkness yesterday and it sounds pretty great. The songwriting is a lot leaner but it really keeps to that melancholic character.

Stoner / doomsters The Well have their new album, Death and Consolation, coming out April 26th, and it is currently streaming here.

Gotta say, this is probably their best album yet. A lot more dynamics in this album than past works. The highlights for me were definitely Eyes of a God and Freedom Above.

Looking forward to the new Consummation album, it’s sounding fierce. Also pretty sure Witches Hammer is working on new material right now. Hope that sees release this year.

Consummation seem promising, also looking to the lineup.

I just read about new album in progress by Dordeduh, some more serious folk hopefully, I'm very curious

For all those who crave some crushing, powerfully malevolent filth (with unrelenting brutality), Lvcifyre have a new EP coming named Sacrament. This is some seriously intense shit, right up there with the mammoth Svn Eater. Awesome.

While I'm not holding my breath, Hannes Grossmann's Facebook page stated that he's working on the drums to the new Blotted Science album. I have my doubts that it will be released this year, but maybe in 2020.

Hannes Grossmann wrote:
