01 – “End The Torture”
02 – “Mandatory Butchery”
03 – “Agony For The Chosen”
04 – “Canvas Of Flesh”
05 – “Born Of Pain”
06 – “The Beast Awakened”
07 – “Decimated”
08 – “Bleed Us Free”
09 – “Knife At Hand”
10 – “Trapped Inside”
11 – “Release The Soul”

I'm definitely interested to hear how they will sound with the new lineup. I'm not familiar at all with any of their most recent albums, but I will probably check them out to get a feel for what this one will be like. They are certainly talking it up quite a bit in those quotes from the article.

They released a couple demo tracks with the new members and i thought it sounded pretty fresh for Malevolent Creation. You can find them on YouTube. I'll definitely check this out. Album art is stupid IMO.

Their last album, Dead Man's Path, was very good. Hope this is a worthy followup.

Indeed. MC have been a pretty average band for a long time, but Dead Man's Path ripped.

That cover reminds me of a grown up version of something from a Goosebumps book. I actually kind of like it. As for MC, they’re a band I’ve never checked out much but I may give this a listen just based on those track titles. Florida death metal rarely disappoints me regardless.

^ They're a band whose shifts and phases throughout their tenure have tended to coincide with whose fronting them at the time, whether intentionally or not. The first three with Brett exist on their own as the general classics, the two albums and EP with Jay Black alternate between a slightly more melodic take followed by a more succinct, hardcore-influenced direction, and everything from "The Art of Murder" onward is a more simplified, brutal methodology. That being said, "The Will to Kill" and "Dead Man's Path" have the most to offer of that group of albums, but your mileage may vary.

Never thought of them as a Floridian band the same way I don't make that association with Cannibal Corpse, but I understand where it comes from and why.

First two and Eternal are masterpieces. They generally don't disappoint, will be checking this out as always.

There's a lot wrong with this post, but luckily Dungeon_Vic is on point. MC have had a patchy career, but there's plenty of brutality throughout their discography if you know where to start.

^ I don't mind that you disagree, it's not like I asserted my opinion as some objective truth, but you could've made your point without being dismissively passive/aggressive, either. If there's an issue, let's hash that out. I still stand by my assessment, anyway.

For those interested, here's the bonus track on the reissue of the Create a Kill debut that was the last song Gus Rios wrote the music for in MC, and is dedicated to Brett in memory of his passing. Certainly sounds like it would've fit on a recent album. Vocals courtesy of Matt Harvey. https://redefiningdarknessrecords.bandc ... -and-stone

Blind buy. One of my favourites and have a very solid discography.

Surprised that nobody has mentioned Envenomed yet. Definitely one of my favorites after the first two, and I personally prefer it to The Will to Kill, if only because it has Brett Hoffmann's iconic voice.

Ripping album. I prefer TWTK but Homicidal Rant is one of their best songs.

Mandatory Butchery sounds like a track from the Invidious Dominion sessions. I hate to say it but I'm not that impressed with it.

Nothing better than a dose of average, stale, old school-styled death metal to start the day. It's more of the same, but at least they know how to do it well. Nice cover btw.
