NoEvDia official stream:

Bardo Methodology interview: http://www.bardomethodology.com/articles/2019/05/22/misthyrming-interview/

Thoughts? At first listen I'm enjoying it way more than Söngvar, I think they really outdid themselves with the masterful layering. Vocals sound amazing and super unique, I'm really curious on how they achieved such sounds.

Great interview too, provides much needed context and is a greatly entertaining read all in all, as usual from Bardo Methodology.

I bet this will end up in many best of the year lists.

Album is pretty cool but I think I preffer the first one. The vocals are worse imho but still ok, Dagur sounds completely different. Alsæla is probably my favourite song. All in all great album

The interview is fucking awful but that's to expected from Bardo Methodology.

This rocks so hard it's ridiculous. Completely different mood and sound compared to Söngvar (which itself is one of the absolute best records from this decade and almost impossible to top) but I'm totally sold on this.

Dang, Bardo Methodology's interviews are really on another level compared to most of the garbage on the Internet.

I love it when black metal musicians are down to earth. Even if this Misthyrming guy isn't my favorite kind of person. Excited for the album!

Listening to this right now, really potent stuff. Killer riffs and strong vocal-performance and good production. Better then the new Svartidaudi for comparing the Icelandic scene...

Incredible album, giving it a full listen now. Really just blown away. Similar ethereal parts to the new Sinmara, I'd say. Closest to Sinmara of the other Icelandic bands at least. Love the jangly-picked chords/melodies. As noted, quite different from the debut. I like this one better so far. The debut had some killer parts but was less memorable and had some lulls. But yeah, needs more listens.

I love where black metal is going these days. At least this kind!

I love Bardo Methodology's interviews, especially when the musicians spout insane occult nonsense and he just asks them point-blank if it's bullshit. Good questions, too, if you're interested in black metal's pretensions to be more than "just the music", I'd say, even if many of the musicians are indeed full of shit.
