And any Manowar guitarist who isn't Ross...

Seen Manowar and Ross The Boss, Manowar were significantly better. Admittedly of the two times I have seen Ross The Boss, one was an entire Manowar set and the other was probably 70% Manowar so was never going to compete really.

"I love all the Priest guys. I love Richie, Andy, Scott and Rob." Hehe.

They will play 3-4 Priest songs, apparently.

hahahahahahahahahahahhaha

Yeah no, that's never gonna happen lmao. That dumb asshole KK wrote his own obituary with all the backstabbing shit talk he's responsible for. Honestly Priest would be better off erasing any trace of his existence with the band...

If you're going to be like that, I suggest you doodle in a diary instead of visiting forums on the internet.

Andy Sneap is a total clown. He has no business being in Judas Priest. Iron Maiden would never have a lineup change this idiotic and ill-fitting, and yes I am including Blaze in this analysis.

To me a total clown is anyone who blocks me on social media for expressing civilised criticism as a passionate Priest fan - such as Sneap, Faulkner (who also cursed me), their engineer Exeter who bullied me over mentioning Downing... Even Travis unfriended me.
On the other hand, Rob, KK seem to take everything maturely; even Glenn seemed to have extended a "hello". I wish they'd rise above pettiness where the band itself is concerned. Priest has a life of its own, it's not a mere sum of its parts/members - but some parts are essential...

Needless to say, it was painfully obvious Glenn's final appearance occurred on May 3rd this year.

Duh, PD is a degenerative condition with no positive outcome, and Glenn already stretched himself to the limit. His hands were visibly shaking and his face anguished as he tried to play two songs on May the 3rd, the initial date of their last leg. The second date was also in Florida but he did not appear at that or any more gigs.

dude, do you have any sort of link to reality? I was being ironic, because prior to the firepower tour, they said he was included in the promo material with no word about his parkinsons because "he wasn't sure if he was gonna do it". go write that proper article on halfy's queerness that needs to be written and please take your time. coupla years is good for me.

I was also being ironic in my "do what exactly" response, and hoped that would put a fullstop to the discussion without making it more explicitly realistic than necessary.

The end of the saga, then. What a flop of Priest to end on such a toxic note, but quite predictable really.

The show sounded really good.

KK just needs his own band, or just to record a few songs on his own for just a studio project. I'm sure he has the time.

Les Binks on drums, Ripper on vocals, KK and Ross on guitar, whoever on bass. Play some Priest songs and some Manowar, fucking tour and keep the ticket prices down and I'll be happy to forget all about ersatz Priest what with its one important current member.

"He's rusty", said poor Ian Hill.
KK proved he's the eternal kid. And he carries the true spirit of Priest and of metal - the jamming, the impro freedom plus crispy expression... He ripped on Running Wild, gutty and dangerous yet light. The "Priest" band looks like heavy grandpas in comparison, and their mentality's even older -ops, eternal - intent on mummifying a certain member(s?) for posterity. I bet they'd rather have a Tipton hologram and carry on the charade, than allow KK back.
I wonder what Rob is thinking... "I finally took control of the b(r)and and established myself as Metal God", or?...

Here's Downing tipsy after the show. And he still eludes: "Maybe this would be the first of many things... when bands get together, perform together..."

Surprise, there's a casual "personal message from Glenn" on Priest's page today, the second one he's ever made...

Two cents today...

Some criticism from the camp of reunion haters consists in that the situations with Rob returning and KK returning are different.
I entertain the intuition it might indeed be so. In the former one it was up to Glenn. In the latter it's up to Rob... and it might have been being erroneously assumed that Glenn is the major impediment.

Image

(A rare instagram post by Rob on August 12, the media buzzing with KK. It's curious that he also announced he had "changed his mind" about writing an autobiography a couple of days after KK's came out.
And let's not forget he came out as gay on TV at the start of the Jugulator tour.)

what worries me is how emaciated KK looks in that photo... esp next to ross "will you want the rest of that hamburger?" the boss.

He can't be less emaciated; the whole lightness and vivaciousness to him is a counterpoint to Priest and their lack of groove lately. Jump up, jump up and get down! :)

If this isn't all a PR stint involving Priest and KK, they'd be utter fools to ignore it.

A mega-tour with all ex-members would be amazing.

I'm not sure the U.S. would appreciate it, but Europe would love it.

Someone's done a great job here
"Attention Judas Priest: The fans have spoken... We want KK Downing!!!"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7Hbhr-7RFI

The plot is thick however. Al Atkins (who's friends with Ian Hill), recently commented:

"People keep asking me about this and i have no idea...No one has asked me and i don't really think i would like to be a part of the rock and roll circus that JP has become...don't get me wrong i like to talk about the old days and i had some great times and memories but i'm not sure and that's if i'm asked...

Comment: I think there’s just one individual making it a circus. Unfair to say it’s the band.

Al Atkins: not the band but the people who pull the strings..."
