Oh snap, I have to listen to the new Pharaoh then... haven't heard this band in ages

The first friday of every month? Sweet! I'm really going to fill out my Bandcamp library.

I think it's great that they're doing this. Everyone wins.

Here are some awesome smaller bands I'd suggest supporting for Bandcamp Friday:

Living Through Ghosts - really well-written old school death/doom
https://livingthroughghosts.bandcamp.co ... bsconditus

Coffin Rites - death metal in the realm of Black Dahlia and Goatwhore
https://coffinrites.bandcamp.com/album/ ... ion-divine

Graveslave - brutal death metal, though their brand-new album is a bit more adventurous
https://graveslavemn.bandcamp.com/album/no-center

Obsolete - honestly the best tech thrash I've ever heard
https://obsoleteband.bandcamp.com/album/animate-isolate

Solarcrypt - filthy Finnish-style OSDM
https://harmfulexistence.bandcamp.com/a ... onal-sewer

Semtex - tech/prog thrash
https://semtexmusic.bandcamp.com/album/ ... -execution

Coagulate - Demilich-inspired death metal with lyrics about Brian Lumley's Necroscope
https://coagulatempls.bandcamp.com/albu ... -cryptosis

Ezra rec'd this to me in the FFA a while back - checking it now and yeah this is very cool. Good stuff. Maybe not quite Martyr, but very little is... definitely some cool guitarwork here and I like the different aesthetic and mood of the presentation overall.

Grabbed quite a few this time around:

Dead Congregation - Graves of the Archangels LP
Dead Congregation - Promulgation of the Fall CD
Dead Congregation - Purifying Consecrated Ground CD
Outre Tombe - Abysse Mortifere LP (pre-order)
Ice War - Sacred Land LP
Wretched Fate - Fleshletting CD

Pretty excited to receive the Dead Congregation albums. They're a band I've been meaning to pull the trigger on for years, but never did for whatever reason. I've heard a few of their songs here and there, and loved them.

Thanks for the reminder! I'm going to be filling the gaps in my collection for Night Flight Orchestra and Ancient Bards. And two of the dudes from False just started a new project that's even heavier on the Emperor worship: https://bigbovine.bandcamp.com/album/vitiate

A bit shorter on cash this time around, but I did go ahead and grab the two Oxygen Destroyer full-lengths on CD. Really cool seeing a young band playing death/thrash with such conviction. The kaiju theme is a unique one for the genre as well.

I also decided to grab the Nasty Savage - Wage of Mayhem! + Rarities 83-85 CD compilation. I already have the F.O.A.D. vinyl LP of this, but the material is so good that I figured it would be worth it to pick up the CD for the car ect.

Wait is it Bandcamp friday again today? I've been eyeing a bunch of albums but I wanted to wait, both till I got paid and till another BCF rolled around.

I picked up the new Vindicator digitally. If you don't know these guys, they're one of the thrash bands that popped up in the late 00s. They put out three records and an EP between 2008-2014, and this is their first release since.

I won't lie, the first song is a bit disappointing, but we'll see if it picks up from here.

Good time to buy Këkht Aräkh - Pale Swordsman for name your price
https://kekhtarakh.bandcamp.com/album/pale-swordsman

new Gloosh album just came out today as well, if they still had vinyls I'd prolly buy one.
https://gloosh.bandcamp.com/album/sylvan-coven

Also Vulture Lord (Urgehal continuation sort of)
https://odiumrecords.bandcamp.com/album/desecration-rite

All are already on Spotify though and I already have too many physical releases just collecting dust, but still like supporting good bands.

Havukruunu - Usvakuningas
Krzysztof Drabikowski (Batushka) - Панихида

All of these are (of course) being downloaded onto my phone as we speak.

I got a decent haul today - more physical copies than digital, actually!

Azothyst - Blood Of Dead God (featuring members of Sortilegia, Adversarial and Nuclearhammer - it's a god damn bloodbath, fellas. Jump on it)

Aquilus - Griseus 2LP (essential wax - hoping it shows up relatively unscathed!)

Cult Of Fire - Moksha/Nirvana 2CD (I forgot that I dig this band)

Grabbed Cathedral - Carnival Bizarre and Skepticism - Stormcrowfleet. Not much because I've still got plenty else I've been playing. I'll try and get more underground ones next time.

I read Rotten Ways to Misery as soon as it came out and it's a great read! You'll discover some new stuff and grow a deeper appreciation for some bands/albums you're already familiar with. Enjoy!

My purchases for today:
Blackwater Holylight - Silence/Motion
Dawn of Winter - Pray for Doom
Jex Thoth - S/T
Lucifer's Fall - III: From The Deep
Realmbuilder - Blue Flame Cavalry & Fortifications of the Pale Architect
Thronehammer - Incantation Rites

I Hate has the cheapest shipping I've seen for a European label and I decided to pull the trigger on some 2021 releases I've been sitting on. Of course, got all my album links in my signature as well.
