Blind Illusion will release a new album. Their website says they'll try to release it in 2020, which would mean ten years after the last one.

The lineup is quite interesting:
Marc Biedermann - vocals, guitars
Tom Gears - bass
Doug Piercy (Heathen 1985-91) - guitars
Andy Galeon (Death Angel 1982-91, 2001-08) - drums

Listening to the song I can't help but think I am the very model of a modern major-general.

I quite like this. Marc Biederman is obviously a talented musician and songwriter with so much potential but has really only delivered once in over 40 years. Not a good strike rate.
This is one band I would love to see release a compilation of all the demos and rarities.

He's only released two records. The guy has a 50% strike rate. Not saying it's brilliant, but that's a rate that compares favourably.

Yeah but the only great album was The Sane Asylum. It's a shame really, let's hope the new one delivers.

The album will be released early next year via Hammerheart Records and is called Wrath of the Gods.

The owner of the label says:
"Blind Illusion sends the recordings of "Wrath of the Gods" to Hammerheart Records and what is delivered is a logical follow up to The Sane Asylum... thinking man's Thrash Metal, old school in vibe and full of the genre's trademarks. So both band and label decide to join forces. In early 2022 Hammerheart Records will release Wrath Of The Gods and re-issue The Sane Asylum at the same time (with a bonus disc full of 80's demos). Expect Bay-Area Thrash Metal: great riffs, killer solo's and a solid foundation laid by bass and drums!"

Well it looks like I'll have to buy a 3rd version of The Sane Asylum, gotta have those demos.
"Expect Bay-Area Thrash Metal".... I don't expect that at all from Blind Illusion. I think they always had their own unique sound. Anyway, can't wait for a new album.
