Well, it seems that Mr. Brennare is releasing a new LOT album by himself alone this time, and this particular album has a deep, personal note. It seems that Brennare has been struggling with a serious leukemia condition over the past 10 years or so, and that was the main reason for releasing new music output. All the songs are a personification of his journey through this nasty illness, and consequently depression and loneliness. There are two lyrical videos on youtube, and they sound minimalistic, stripped-down, distorted, and haunting, completely matching the feeling of the album cover. As a huge fan of Brennare's creativity (aka Lake of Tears through the years), I'm greatly anticipating this one-man's personal message!

I love the songs. In Wait and In Worries mostly. It's depressive but warm sounding. The vocals fit everything and the lyrics are nice. Good clear and warm (again) production too. Looking forward to the full album.

Lake of Tears's full lenghts are always a bit of a gamble, with some great highs but also really boring lows. The last one was a low, but i'm sure as hell that i will check this one out

A Crimson Cosmos, Headstones and Moons and Mushrooms have no lows for me at all. Strong, timeless, bold albums.

Also, this new album is called Ominous

I think those are the exact three albums i would consider to be their absolute best

with lows i meant albums like the last one and black brick road, which have really few exciting moments. Their top albums are all quality stuff!

while i agree that BBR is mostly a poor album, it has some killer songs, like the greymen...

also, their best for me is FA, by far... followed by aCC...
