Haven't seen this mentioned on the forum yet, so here you go.

TL;DW (Although I recommend watching the video yourself)
- Fairly insecure about his current appearance, has had to go through surgery for cancer, and aftermath, Bell's palsy, and loss of eyesight
- COVID fucked with album recording schedule
- New album is almost finished recording, needs a few more solos, vocals, and guest musicians, and then after that, mixing and mastering
- Hopes to get new album out by 2021
- Family issues: Wife is going through cancer, son is autistic, daughter attempted suicide, and since his wife has cancer, there's more pressure on him to take care of his kids
- Is going to use the channel to update us on the album, with some soundbites of it here and there
- Going to be wearing Rose (His wife's name) patch when performing live, as well as "Fuck cancer" patch
- New album is in the vein of Evil Invaders, Violent Restitution, Shotgun Justice, and Open Hostility, but especially Violent Restitution
- New album name is Cycle of Contempt

Best of luck to the guy, and his family. It's clear that things have been super rough.

I heard things were going rough for him, but I didn't realize it was quite this bad. I really do hope all the best of luck to him and his family, and of course I very eagerly await new Razor material.

Damn all this is crazy. I really feel for the guy and though I am excited for a new Razor album he should know there's no rush. He should obviously focus on his family and himself before Razor.

That really sucks that he's got so many problems/issues piling up in this way.
All this explains a lot about the limbo status of Razor though.

Thanks for sharing. I had no idea about all this stuff going on in his life, or that there was a new album coming. Razor are one of my favorite bands, mainly because of the Carlo's riffs and playing style, so I'll be all over any new product they put out.

Whoa, a lot of things rained down on the man's family. Appreciated his courage to be so open (and blunt) about those things. Music can always take second place compared to life issues. Really hope everything will work out in the right way...

Can't watch the video now but holy balls was that brutally depressing to read. New Razor would of course please me, but right now I just hope life stops fucking with this man and his loved ones.

Gonna reiterate what everyone else has been saying in that he and his family have our support, and their health and well-being is what matters most. Had no idea about any of it, but that he's now in a place to be more open and comfortable is hopefully a good sign things are on the upswing. With what's happened, he's definitely putting all he has into this new album, so we should do right by him by supporting the band when it's ready as much as we're able. I know I will.

Sad to hear about all this negative shit! I wish him only the best. Carlo himself is an absolute master of the riff, and the new album being "especially" in the vein of Violent Restitution is exactly what I wanted to hear. Really hope it makes it out this year.

Damn, I feel for Dave with all that he's going through. Hope he can stay strong and that things get better for him and his family. I look forward to hearing the new album and he and the rest of Razor have my full support.

Wow, kudos to Dave Carlo for staying strong with a lot of tough stuff. I like Decibels and Violent Restitution a lot, so cool to hear news about a new Razor album. All the best to him and his family.

NEW UPDATE VIDEO:

He shows a rough mix of one of the tracks, titled "A Bitter Pill". Sounds pretty solid, if you ask me.

Thanks for sharing! Somehow missed out on it despite having subscribed to his channel.

With regards to the track, Dave always wrote killer riffs with disarming ease, and he still continues to do so apparently. Really looking forward to this.

His videos are always so sad and nice to watch, at the same time. The guy is so wholesome and positive that he always makes me smile, despite the seriousness of what he's going through when you stop and think about it. Cancer is a tough motherfucker, really hope everything will be fine for Rose.

That's an encouraging snippet for sure! Seems way more energetic than Decibels and I can't wait to hear the whole thing.

Does Dave know about this forum? I think it might be beneficial to him to be able to read the comments here or comment himself.

Jesus fucking christ. The amount of hardship that can befall on one man here - it doesn't even sound real. But what a god damn trooper for being as strong as he is and carrying on. Mad respect to Dave Carlo. We'll get the new album whenever we get it. Family comes first.

That snippet sounds sick though, so I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Fuck. It’s so upsetting to hear how rough things are for such good people. This world truly is a depressing place but the tiny shred of an optimist in me thinks things turn around for him, and the rest of me actively wishes that’s the case. The little snippet sounds very encouraging and I’m excited to get some new Razor. I hope we can all support the band and him directly when this gets released.

I'm excited for this new Razor album, thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure to try shooting the guy a message or email or something of support sometime. Clearly sounds like he's gone through hell and back these past few years.
