Probably the most technical (both in terms of structure and playing) and dissonant Absu album to date. Will take a few listens to digest this one!

Got halfway through last night while in bed, sounding incredible but it’s gonna take a while to digest.

Essentially echoing what the above posters have said - very dense and intense album. The riffing seems a lot more wild and intricate than their last two albums, that's for sure. On first listen it isn't the most memorable release, but then again Absu have never been the hookiest band anyway. Looking forward to diving into this one some more.

Holy hell, I didn't expect this. The intensity level is shocking, yet it's still very enjoyable musically. I've yet to see how I'll feel about after my initial emotions calm down, but right now it shoots straight to the top of this year's list.

has been highly anticipated by the wife and I. and I have to say I am not let down in the least. it's so insanely good it's sickening. I can't wait to get preorder in.

It's fast, gets the blood pumping and head nodding. Definitely an enjoyable release.

Did a couple full listens, still gonna need more to fully digest but it really is so damn good. Definitely on my top 10… May even be number 1 if more listens warrant it.

It's objectively a very good album, stellar musicianship on it, but I do find it a bit overwhelming. Maybe I need to listen to it with a different mindset, probably not a good 'while working' record.

Finished my first listen this afternoon, I am impressed. Agree with others here that it is dense. Not a ton of standout moments at first.. gonna be on rotation frequently in the coming weeks.

Again Blasphemer on guitars, and Apsu sounds more and more like Mayhem of his era. I miss times of Tara or Absu when they were more melodic and atmospheric. But anyway - album is solid.

Has anyone received their preorders from Agonia yet? It seems like it'll take months!

I like most of Absu's previous work but I won't be listening. Fuck proscripter.

Where are you finding that Blasphemer is on guitars for this album?

He played guest lead guitar on one of the tracks, just check out the Guest/Session tab in the album entry on M-A.

One of the best albums of last year. It reveals more with each listen.
