It's a rare case for me, it was one of the first metal albums I ever listened to and still to this day it's one of my favourite records, but I've never listened to any other Children of Bodom releases, I've listened to singles from other albums and they've never caught my attention, maybe I'm missing something special with their first albums but I have zero interest in them to be honest.

Which record do you speak of Sir? Hate Crew Deathroll?

I classify CoB as symphonic thrash and no one can change my mind.

Love this album. Their first 4 albums is all you need from them.

While the first 4 are all really well done, the other 6 are really worthwhile too. I like when bands mature and don't exactly cling to the exact same thing, especially after such a long period of aika.

I dunno I tried to listen to them but they honestly lost the spark for me. They got a bit repetitive after the first 4.

I'd never try and convince anyone of anything :)

Totally Sir.
For me personally, having over 10 records by my favorite band is pretty fakkin' awesome ya know?
Tokyo Warhearts and Stockholm Knockout are 2 of my favorites (live).

Incredibly stupid album. Love it to bits like a schlock horror movie. It's just all done incredibly well, has its tongue in cheek while also being genuinely well-written and passionately heavy. Fairly late to it personally, but it was my stepping stone into extreme metal.

Realised the other day the (SIX SIX SIX) overdub on Sixpounder is probably a little ode to the joke Iron Maiden did on Back in the Village.
