The interesting part of Pete's post is the mention of possible new music from I am Morbid. I'm sure there might be some people who might feel anxious about that given what happened with Illud, but Dave's put out some good stuff with Vltimas so new music in the style of Vincent era Morbid Angel might actually be good.

I thought 'Caustic attack' was a definite step up from the previous two snoozefests, so it could have been interesting to see where they went next.

Centrism doesn't really exist, no. Centrism is just soft right. And yeah, sure the political landscape is a bit more complex then "left-right", but in that case it seems pretty cut and try. The way he expressed himself clearly indicates he's a reactionary/conservative. Who else lacks that much common sense that they would think it makes sense to compare calling out a racist piece of shit with the inquisition?

Does this mean they will be releasing new material under the name I Am Morbid? The way some of the lines are worded seems to indicate this possibility. Otherwise it just means they are not interrested in writting new stuff or performing as Terrorizer and will just keep playing Vincent's era Morbid Angel material live.

The fact that, as a born-again Christian, he'll still play MA songs with David Vincent, and not in the proper brand of MA indicates that Azagthoth must be as unlikable, if not moreso as Ritchie Blackmore. All joking aside, it's not like Terrorizer was all that active after their last album came out, so hearing this news is not all that surprising. I'm still a bit baffled that they went to the trouble of signing with Earache if they weren't going to continue to be active, but considering Earache's history of screwing over bands they may have dodged a bullet there. I Am Morbid is definitely a dumb name, but Covenant wouldn't have gone over well - the Norwegian black/industrial band The Kovenant had to change their name to add 'the' and spell it with a K because of another band that already had rights to it.

And nothing of value was lost. World Downfall is immortal, of course, but no one gives a shit about any subsequent Terrorizer albums. If you want new Terrorizer, T-LA and Nausea are better anyway.
