This is the longest between full lengths they've gone, Nate started writing some of the songs as far back as early 2020 before the beginning of the pandemic. First single is good, excited for the rest of the album. |

First time I hear anything by this band, and I enjoyed that song a lot. It's very well crafted and performed. Catchy, fun and deceptively chill almost hard-rocking mid-tempo tune but I sense a lot of speedy power metal habits and ideas boiling underneath and jumping to the surface periodically throughout the song. The singer has a very smooth timber and I'm not sure what's the effect they've added on his voice (perhaps just a bit of reverb?) but it suits him. Is this representative of their style in general or do they have some faster songs and this is an example of a calmer track as I suspect? Either way this is pretty cool. Damn, what's happening? I can't open a random thread about a band I never heard of without getting hooked, now? ^^ |

Nate Garrett's voice has also evolved a lot between albums. I would suggest you start with their album Curse of Conception and go forward from there to see exactly what I'm talking about. Most of their material is probably more on the midtempo side but they also get a bit faster on occasion, although we're not talking blazing fast here, they're not a power metal band by any means tempo wise:

Very nice, thanks for your answer and links! Seems to be almost the opposite trajectory from what I imagined, but pretty cool regardless. |

Trying their last album now. Pretty fuckin great. Up my alley with the sneering 80s style vocals - real grit and charisma there, shit - and the cool raw feel to everything. Very good. |

New song sounds pretty tight! I’ll certainly be happy if this ends up being as good as their previous albums, their consistency has been quite commendable. I also got to open for them with Lavaborne last November and it was a blast! |

Apparently according to Nate this is the most straightforward stomper on the album. I guess the other songs will be quite different, I know there are parts of certain songs that have a heavy Death influence for example. |

That was just a compilation of cover songs so I don't count it, there were only two original tracks on it. |

Them second single is out. Very strong solo Ozzy vibes on this one. |

Saw these guys live this week. Really tight and on point show. Their sound doesn’t do too much for me and is too clean for my tastes, but they all seemed like nice and good folks. |

It's been out for three weeks and I haven't heard anyone discuss the album. Really feels like their moment in the sun is fading. I think it's a step up from their last one but I still really miss their grittier doom sound; this is pretty standard polished trad metal which is a dime a dozen these days. Their love of Randy Rhodes is especially prevalent on this record. |

They haven't really toured on it yet but I think they'll do alright, I think they've definitely gained more fans. |

This isn’t hitting me quite as hard as the last couple but it’s another winner as far as I’m concerned. I know they toured earlier this year before it came out so I’m curious to see when they’ll get another round of dates together. |

Enlightened in Eternity really caught my ear earlier in the year - a really cool trad sound with a kind of Western bent, a bit of sleaze, just cool. Some of the best vocals lately too. I was surprised I'd never heard of them or even visited their page before that. This new one I think may grow on me. I'm gonna try it again later. |

Third listen and this is a really well done piece of work, a nice pinch of classic rock influence, some dramatic flairs to it, and the singing is just so charismatic. All around good tunes, catchy, emotional, I think people will come around on it if they've ignored it so far. Maybe, anyway. Only complaint is that the last album seemed a little better, a little harder hitting all around, but this might even keep growing on me. |

The Thin Lizzy influence is hard to miss but they incorporate it so well within their overall heaviness. A nice mix of modern and traditional, I dig it. |

Yeah, there's definitely a Thin Lizzy vibe to it. It's an influence pretty woven into the songwriting itself rather than sounding like homage, which is cool. |

This is the first Spirit Adrift-CD I have bought, and I like it! Awesome sound and the songs are mostly good. Favorites are Hanged Man's Revenge and These Two Hands. I keep thinking of Grand Magus from time to time and especially in Death Won't Stop Me, but these guys are a lot more varied. The vocals reminds me of the sadly missed Gypsyhawk/Gygax. |
