New Spirit Possession upcoming March 31st on Profound Lore! This is not a drill! One of my favorite newer black metal bands, really great news. Just mind blowing live. Stoked to be seeing them a few times this year.

Spirit Possession's live shows are crazy. I can't think of anyone else that plays black metal fingerstyle. Based on the single I think the album's going to live up to expectations.

Yeah, seriously. They're absolutely mesmerizing live. I'm seeing them on Saturday at a local festival out here in Seattle with Witch Vomit headlining that day, wonder if they're going to do any new songs.

Their first album was pretty cool, a mix of Katharsis and Negative Plane/Funereal Presence with a more punk-ish approach. New single sounds killer as well. The cover isn't as good as the previous one but it's still pretty cool.

The second single is out. A ton of riffs packed into this song as usual.

This shit is wild. Profound Lore has been on a roll over the past year.

This sounds great. One of the very few bands that have been able to possess the spirit (zing!) of the last two Katharsis records, and build upon it. I'm looking forward to catching them on their European tour this spring.

As if I needed another reason to be obsessed with this band... Wild.

For a second I thought the title was "Spawn of Possession - " and I was like, they're BACK, lol

Full album stream! I've been listening to it for a while via a reviewer promo and it is INSANE. Love it so much.

Yeah, the album absolutely rips. Hooky black metal with riffs for days is precisely what this band does so well.

yeah this is pretty savage. a good blend of katharsis and negative plane with the finger style stuff to give it its own flavor. feel like this is gonna be on quite a few year-end lists.

This album destroys. Definitely going to be on my year end list.
