But jumping on this comment for a second - I find this surprising too. Is Megadeth actually OPENING for The Misfits? Or is this just a poster advertising how it's the original lineup performing? Sure looks like The Misfits is headlining which has me bamboozled.

It's the original Misfits (I'm sorry, Fits) with Danzig and Jerry Only and this line up is revered by many in the thrash community at least as far as early Metallica (with Dave Mustaine) goes. Pretty sure Slayer regard The Misfits as a formative influence too. So Megadeth opening would just be out of paying homage.

The gargantuan egos on these two frontmen could lead to some fun drama though.

Also, the idea that opening for the Misfits in 2023 is a big opportunity for a 40 year old legacy act is hysterical.

When I saw the Misfits, it was the opposite experience. By the time they finished the second song he was out of breath and kept panting into the mic for the entire show.

I used to be a huge fan of Deth. Llica as well. Never understood the love for the Fits. I think it's just due to Llica's love for them. And cool tshirts.
