Take a band name, or several if you want. Then, ruin them by adding, removing or replacing a single letter. Improving a band name by doing this is also acceptable.

...but then I thought: That doesn't necessarily ruin it. It could also be seen as an improvement. So maybe the change should really "ruin" the band, not only the name. Sooo…

Burgum

It's a rather nondescript town in the Friesland province (NL). Lots of placenames there end in -um, so Burzum always sounded Frisian to me.
