All 3 singles have been awesome, despite them feeling like they came out years ago. Very much looking forward to this.

I'd missed the two previous singles. Here they are:

^ Those 2 singles are better than the newest one, but all 3 are worth listening to. I seriously can't wait for the album to drop. If all the songs are similarly structured, this could be AOTY for me. I'm a big tech-death fan and this scratches a particular itch for me.

Judging by their logo alone, any chance they're influenced by Archspire? Haven't listened to them or ever read anything about them.

Currently Archspire is the second highest placed band on their similar artists tab, only surpassed by The Faceless. And TZP is the eight highest on Archspires tab. So undoubtedly many consider them similar.

Nominally. Justin's a fan, but I don't think he's ever been influenced by them to any meaningful degree.

They're a lot more similar to The Faceless (pre-Autotheism) than Archspire. Hopefully no one in this band picks up a nasty drug habit and they keep making music while have a stable line-up, though.

Thank god their production isn't actually terrible like Archspire's. I wasn't too impresed with their last album but the new single is cathy as shit

Had a listen to this today. The first 7 tracks were quite amazing. Then "Automated Twilight" neutered any momentum the album had with a plodding, overly melodic, out-of-left-field snoozefest. Granted, it was only the first listen, but it was a complete departure that the previous tracks built up. The final track was better but also didn't reach the same heights.

Again, only first impressions, but the last portion of the album seemed a little disappointing.
