Such as like having maybe a section for local Greek Black Metal bands and/or more established acts like Varathron and Rotting Christ?

I was on vacation in Athens, Greece recently and saw many of the typical tourist attractions, but unfortunately my time was limited and I was unable
to visit the "Exarcheia" neighborhood which according to the Rick Steve's guidebook is an area of Athens that is supposed to be more "edgy" and has lots of
record stores and is also a place where a lot of young people and students live.

Does this area of Athens have record shops that have merchandise for Greek Black Metal bands like Varathron and Rotting Christ? Merchandise such as posters, patches, T-shirts, exclusive releases exclusive to the geographic region...etc.? Maybe even bootleg live DVDs of the acts performing in the 1990's?

I don’t know about Greek black metal specifically but there were quite a number of record stores in Athens when I went back in 2010.

Yes, there are a handful of metal-specific record stores: https://www.google.com/maps/search/heav ... ?entry=ttu

I can't remember which one it was but 10 years ago I went to one and it was run by a former Necromantia member who was super nice.

Yes there are i went there 10 years ago and they had an amazing shop with shirts and cds in the Athens downtown, big extreme metal scene too. It shouldn't be too difficult to find one now.

Well, a guy I know who lives there recommended the Metal Era store, for starters.
