Well its been quite some time since this supposed drugged out dynamic duo have been present, and I feel like this project was dismissed in a time that would not resonate the same way now. Nowadays gimmicks and bullshit image is everywhere, but these two seemed to do a great job at probing the mind of black metal fans in a hilarious way.
Whether it was their posturing of being psychadelic black metal druggys, or their made up wood instruments, they truly provoked the metal community.
All of their antics aside how do we feel about an album like Genevieve? In my opinion its one of the best examples of hypnotic and beautifully washed out out black metal. Maybe one of the only albums that utilizes whisper styled vocals. Incredibly unique in the overblown landscape of black metal at the time. I just feel the seattle juggernauts deserve another go around with such an amazing discography.

Honestly in recollection the antics were far more memorable than the music.

Weren't they busted for plagiarizing an entire album?

Edit: Just checked, apparently they plagiarized several releases.

I recall listening to them a bit, they were really banking on the atmospheric black metal zeitgeist back then.

So it's a band of druggies trolling the atmospheric black metal sect

That's basically me describing myself to me I'm interested

Oh this is that band that does DXM lol oh my fucking god that's fucking rad I swear I'm the only druggie I've ever met that actually enjoys doing that stuff as much as the other one, lol everyone thinks you're a loser but they're totally bragging about it that's fucking hilarious

The FMP/AML message board days with that band around were truly wacky.

I will never be convinced the other bands weren't in on the plagiarism.

What other bands?

Odd that this topic should come up now because several days ago their name just randomly popped into my head. That said I listened back in teh day to at least that one album and I wasn't into it at all.
They might have been nearly as into DXM as they said, though. That stuff fucks people up.

Oh yeah guarantee if someone does anything besides beat the shit out of the person who said the word DXM, then I believe it,

That's a weird buzz it's like the exact point where your body is gonna start burning but nothing hurts at all it's like this uncomfortable and comfortable wave of pressure that never quite relieves itself it's like at the edge of exploding

At least that's what I remember the last time I got really fucked up on it, I always liked mixing it with weed or alcohol sometimes both, its been years tho since I got that buzzed, I always liked it all the other hallucinogens made me freak especially acid

Too bad they plagiarized and were a joke band, doing that shit could make for a very interesting project, and the best part is DXM ain't hippy shit
