What's stopping you from making one?

Starting those threads over at Recommendation Central makes enough sense, if you're looking for recommendations.

Starting this thread - not so much.

It seems you keep on creating useless or senseless threads because you're looking for attention or something. But I find even more surprising that people keep on telling you your are topics are useless but you carry on posting them... So why?

I try to raise him as a good metalhead, keep telling him to go out, see gigs, have beers, get drunk and make friends. But he won't listen to me and will stay alone in his room in front of his computer trying to know about metal by asking weird and senseless questions. Now I plan to abandon him.

Spiderlix is a fairly new user who also seems to be struggling with the language barrier. Something I would assume you would understand considering the fact that your first language is most likely French.

While he doesn't seem to know how this forum operates, the kind of thread he should or shouldn't make, I sense absolutely nothing disingenuous about the way he his posting. Your whole post is uselessly harsh...

It's obvious that he will get used to the forums eventually and will figure out what warrants creating a new thread and what doesn't. Be nice.

I've never talked about the fact (s)he was struggling with English... I just think, like many others, that the questions he asks don't make much sense and it seems to me (s)he's more looking for attention by opening numerous threads that often repeat the same things. It looks more like trolling to me. Then, you have a different perception than mine, no problem, maybe you're right.

I was looking at his threads in the recommandation center, and he seems to genuinely want to discover new bands and talk about these genres.

I also used to make too many threads when I started going to forums. I didn't really know what warranted the creation of a new thread.

Anyway. Not trying to pick a fight. I just think we should be nice to the guy. He seems to mean well.

That's just sad :nono:

Also, OP, if you are looking for some recs for Alternative/Funk/Rap/Nu Metal and Neoclassical Metal stuff, then like what others before me have said, heading to the rec thread is a good place to start, though I would also recommend looking through some other sources like RYM or other forums more geared towards those subgenres.

The real challenge would be to find a neoclassical alternative funk/rap/nu metal bands. Something like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Limp Bizkit meet Yngwie Malmsteen.
