Sarah Jezebel Deva has a post on Instagram suggesting he has passed away. Can't find anything elsewhere. R.i.p if thats the case. Upon Promethean Shores is a classic |

That will definitely suck if it's true. Both "Upon Promeathean Shores (Unscriptured Waters)" and "The Slaughter of Innocence, a Requiem for the Mighty" are both classics for their brilliant COF worship, with An Ode for a Haunted Wood being my favorite song from these guys. |

That sucks. His era of Hecate Enthroned (the COF worship era, lol) was easily the best era of the band - didn't really like the blackened death direction of the later material. They were the only band that could successfully capture a similar atmosphere to what the Filth themselves were doing at that time. Then again, I guess being an ex-COF member certainly helps in that regard. Other bands tried and failed spectacularly (looking at you, Ancient). RIP. |

I've mentioned this before in another post a while back, but does it seem like a lot of metal artists have passed away this year in particular? It's pretty sad and disconcerting. I know everyone has to go someday, but god damn... |

Really sad. I used to interact with him personally on the old terrorizer magazine forums. Always sound and funny and a huge fan of music in general (not just metal). Hecate were awesome. Sad news all around. |
