Tsk tsk, this isn't the thread to whine about your favorite band being rejected in. Try S&C forum.

Does anyone remember the melodic death band that has (generally) pretty positive reviews, and 3 full lengths (possibly 4; definitely no more than that) available for download on their site? I can't for the life of me remember their name, or where their from, or anything really aside from the aforementioned facts. I've already looked through this thread a bit, but none of the bands here caught my eye as being that one, though I may have overlooked it.

Any leads?

Much appreciated.

Try http://freemetalalbums.wordpress.com/ and do a search at that site for "melodic death" - or scroll down a bit and try the "browse by genre" link.

There should be plenty of bands to dig through - you may find more than you were originally looking for.

Dude, this is good stuff! You got an album cover for this? It just became a permanent addition to my library. Keep it up!

By the way, this thread is so good, I made it my hope page, which I usually never change and just go with the default settings.

Well, I know that I obtained the entire Satanic Warmaster album "Carelian Satanist Madness" for free, but not from his own website or anything. At the same time, it wasn't an illegal torrent or anything near that - I think that the album had full permission and all that stuff to be downloaded for free from the site where I found it... Should I link to it?

Soul Vomit's 2004 demo "Silence of the Unreal" is available here, all 3 tracks for free download.

http://www.last.fm/music/Soul+Vomit/Sil ... The+Unreal

(pretty boring stuff, IMO, but give it a listen and judge for yourself)

(also, the demo on the metal archives page has an incorrect tracklisting, the first 3 tracks were just live tracks released live. i've reported it though)

Here you can get the first three albums by swedish (videogame) SID Metallers MACHINAE SUPREMACY.

Together with the music you can also get high-res cover art. So, enjoy! :-)
Back then their sound was much more oriented on the videogame terms than in their later releases.

Albums are:
"Origin", "Arcade" and "Fury"
