Question:

There are 4 full Project Hate albums available to download. On their official message board (run by Lord K) a topic was created containing a link to a torrent of the 4 albums. The torrent itself is not hosted by the band, but it is fully sanctioned by them. Would this be ok to post?

What forum topic might that be within? I'm having trouble finding it.

Would you happen to know, by any chance, what "band-sanctioned" means?

I've taken a thorough look at their myspace, and it seems they want people to buy their records, not download them off rapidshare

Both demos of the death metal band Timeghoul/ are available on their last.fm page. http://www.last.fm/music/Timeghoul

You may want to amplify the files, as last.fm downloads are quiet and, being tape rips, these will be even quieter. Of course, there are other routes to finding these songs.

The original Doom soundtrack seems more appropriate for a metal band than the Doom II soundtrack, although that could cause problems as many of Bobby Prince's compositiosn for the first Doom were not exactly "original".

Yes, we're well aware of that Prince got considerable influence from various metal and rock bands.

Speaking of Doom 2, there is a ton of original songs..the only 3 that can come to mind are MAP07 (Based on South of Heaven), MAP23 and MAP25 (Based on Alice in Chains). Other than those three, I don't know much about the rest.

Frekkr (viking metal band from France, they have a page on the archives) have a demo up on Jamendo to download, it's pretty good stuff I must say.

Frekkr - Voluspa: http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/42659

Odens Raven (a proggy metal band with viking and death elements; not on the archives) also have a nice demo up on Jamendo.

Odens Raven - Tod der Welt: http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/37469
