This band is pretty entertaining. Never thought I'd hear a folk metal cover of Breaking the Law, though. :???:

David Gold from Woods of Ypres just posted this on his Facebook page:

David I. Ypres Happy New Year! Download the 8 song THRAWSUNBLAT - 'demo' (raw melodic folk metal) torrent here (w/ me on drums), FREE! http://www.mininova.org/tor/3190013

I'm listening right now, and this is GREAT - almost a pure mix of "Against the Seasons" and "Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth," to my ears. Everything is FANTASTIC about this album. Highly recommended.

----------------
Now playing: Thrawsunblat - Slake the Earth

Band: Vornagar from USA
Album: The bleeding holocaust
genre: Melodic Death Metal
source: band's Myspace Blog

http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse ... =505479823

This is not gothemburg, not another inflames/dartk tranquillity/at The gates clone band, not metalcore-oriented.
No keyboards (i don't hate keyboards).
Their music is fast and technical with good riffs, great drum performance and many melodic guitar passages.

Didn't see either of these artists listed anywhere in here...

Cloudkicker

Keith Merrow

Both artists are one-man instru-metal projects, musically along similar lines as Animals As Leaders and Bulb.

Fort Lauderdale Black Metal band Benighted In Sodom (lead by a current member of Bethlehem (Deu)) have their release In Hora Maledictus - Part II for free download on the frontman's blog. Releases by two of his other projects are also available for free sanctioned download. I haven't listened to them yet, but the samples on Benighted In Sodom's MySpace page sounded good.

Thanks for posting this, I love this band. :metal:

Edit: Muggle Death Camp's EP is available at his mypsace page. Pretty good industrial black metal. "Lament in the House of Gaunt" is a great symphonic piece.

Edit again: Ex-power/prog metallers (currently prog rockers) Prophexy have their entire first full-length (released in 2004) available for free download at their official site, just scroll down in the discography section.

Power metal band Gaia Epicus have just made their first four albums available for free, band-sanctioned download. Never heard of them before, but judging from 'Iron Curtain' which I'm listening to now well worth it if you fancy some punchy, German-style power metal. Great vocals. Anyway, they're only up for two weeks from now so get on with it!

http://www.gaia-epicus.com/freealbums.html

I should also post up their disclaimer: "Remember: Bands put a lot of work and money into making music for you, so you should always buy the music you like! This will support the bands so they can make more albums, and go on tour.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU HEAR THEN WE HOPE THAT YOU WILL
DELETE ALL FILES FROM YOUR COMPUTER."

I used to run the website BlabberDownload.com (I stopped running the website when I decided I would no longer call myself a Christian.) It features, for the most part, free albums, EPs, demos, etc.

It is full of band-sanctioned downloads and free-releases. All the bands featured on here are Christian or at least have Christian members, so if that bothers you then do not download them. Besides that, there are many entries which are not really all that great but there are a few gems such as:

- Encryptor - Encryption
- All the featured Kekal albums
- All the Betrayer stuff
- Some of the Compilations
- Elan - For the Eternally Haunt the Sojourner
- Desire of Pain - Ashes of the Darkness
- The Epta Astera albums
- Rising Cross - Trumpets of Victory
- Menahem - Angels and Shadows

There are a couple more really good ones that I'm too lazy to go find haha.

New EP from the bay area melodic/thrash metal band Invection, progressed quite a lot since the last EP, "Demented Perception" (which was posted here too). If you like it spread the word, post it on metal blogs, tell your friends, write a review!

The other track is thrash-esque and the other can probably be described as "doomy". :D

A bit off topic - my music still appears to be available online thru my Myspace and Blog pages, yet it appears that my page here in the Metal Archives has been deleted.

And yet my Dimaensia Nexus page still shows up.

Any explanations why?

Now both are gone for not having physical releases. Read rule 7.

What you describe above as "weird" is one of our principal rules, which does not apply only to Iranian bands.
