Wow no-one has even mentioned Muicipal Waste - Born To Party. Municipal Waste is all that is thrash

For several reasons, one is that they never released an album called Born to Party.

Dude has to be joking.

Agreed, it's a forgotten gem although it's more speed metal than thrash. The lyrics are excellent on that one as well, it's a concept album about religious persecution in the Dark Ages.

It's more Power Metal than Thrash, actually.

Hence the genre Power/Thrash

i'm sure heaps have already trumpeted its might but
EXODUS-Bonded by Blood to me embodies and defines all of everything good in thrash inside of one single album. i find it to be flawless and beyond comparison.

close calls are Slayer's career up to Decade of Aggression & Megadeth-Peace Sells... But Who's Buying.

i am leaving Deathrash bands like Demolition Hammer & Massacra out of the equation though
just including and minding 100% pure-and-only thrash

I agree (You'll notice I included Bonded by Blood on my best thrash list).

Why leave out death/thrash though? For example the Eyes of Horror by Possessed has some death vocals but the music is total thrash.

Precisely. However, I was correcting the previous poster. I am not foreign to thrash, kind sir.

I wasn't saying you were. I wasn't trying to correct you, I was trying to reinforce what you were saying.

because at that point the line is blurred so far my list would be 50-80 albums long haha, with alot of potential arguments to be made (Possessed, Thantos, Merciless etc etc etc etc etc)

if i take solely pure, direct, no other influences thrash into consideration i can have a better concept of what is THE best. Deathrash i would much prefer to lump in with DeathMetal :)

It's clearly a great album. I probably wouldn't rank it amongst my very favorite thrash albums, but I can see how someone could.

That makes sense I guess.

Whats not to like about Bonded by Blood? I don't think your really a thrash fan if you don't like Bonded by Blood. Also on your profile you list Exodus under "I Love". So why don't you like Bonded by Blood, which most consider to be one of, if not their best, album?
