I'm looking for a black metal concept album that's based on the creation and eventual destruction of the human race. What I remember:

1. The intro has sounds of thunder and earthquakes(?), as if Earth is created/in its early stages.
2. Primitive people running.
3. Sounds of destruction and lots of screaming(?), probably in the last track.
4. It's definitely not of this decade. I listened to this album from an old friend around 2005-2006.

A while back someone recommended I check out a progressive death metal album that I really loved but now I can't find it and have no way of knowing how to find it other than the things I can remember.

It consists of a single song that was a full hour and ten minutes in length. It had many instruments used, including strings, synthesizers, and other stuff. There was tons of melody and a lot of feeling in the music. The vocals were not very prevalent overall. It had a bluish/lighting-like cover and I think the band's name began with a K.

Can anyone help me find this?

Went through _all_ the albums on the archives released by bands starting with K and having "Progressive" in the genre's name. This is the only thing that comes close to your description, although it has multiple tracks:

Hmm...The band must not have started with a K then. It's a shame I can't remember because it was really, really good. How many progressive death metal albums are there with a single track that's over an hour long? With a bluish cover? There can't be that many.

see if you can spot it here... http://tinyurl.com/GuiltySpawn

there's also this guy who did pdm albums, and now suffered some kind of mental breakdown and left the last one unfinished... one-man band from the us. all I remember is that I've done work on his m-a page :/

Hey everyone, this is my Second time posting so be gentle.

i had posted this else where but was told i might have better
luck asking here, so here's my story;

So a few weeks ago a friend of mine had asked me to
see if I couldn't find a song for her. She didn't really say
much about it other than it's a metal version of the late
David Bowie's underground song, form The Labyrinth movie.
And I'm not sure if the song is real or not because I can't seem
to find ANYTHING on it. so I'm turning to you guys in the hopes
that someone has heard it and knows the name and the artist
who sang it. leave your comments below and I hope to hear back
form you guy.

thanks

All of the songs from the Labyrinth soundtrack are on Youtube. Click the link below and it will bring you to all of the songs from the movie.

It really depends on your definition of metal, but thinking more about this, the song below has a metal vibe to it. Its not Bowie singing, but it is from the movie. Hope this helps.

The one I'm looking for is a guy. He takes blenders and other household items and turns them into "music." I believe he was on Century Media for a while.

Is there another way you can upload it? MP3, or youtube possibly? I've never heard of 'Dropbox' and you need an account just to be able to listen to it.

Forbidden did a song called "Feel no Pain" from their 1988 album, its a long shot but maybe that is it?

Hei I am trying to find band album, "Kick The Pregant" I heard the name with reference to an interview with John Peel. If I remember correctly they were from Norway, and were a Black/Death Metal band. Have searched MA and google but cannot find owt. Thank you RasvääP :)

It was a grindcore band called Homoerotic Bob. They weren't Norwegian, they were British.

HAILS!! great masters of the dark underworld music....

this, as you may see, is my first post.... hope not breaking any "presentation" rule or similar.....

so this is the issue...

back inthe old-late 90s i received this casset with no cover nor anything.... this actually came to me as a "compliment" to a home-tape copy of a morticians LP.... it is only two tracks of what i could call pagan black metal....

it reminded me a lot of dismal euphony´s "soria moria slott".... but cheking the archives, dismal euphony is labeled as a "melodic black metal" band(early)...hence my trouble, i dunno whether it is siymphonic or pagan like black... i say it is black metal because of the voice tune and the strident guitar riffs..... and pagan (or symphonic) because of the keyboards and the sweet female voice.... SOUNDS "EPIC" TO ME

AND I´VE SPENT THE LAST 16 YEARS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT BAND IT IS!!!!
so, as i said, the only info i have is that, it is a 90s band.... please check it out.... i suggest u use some headphones, since it is (badly) recorded from that old tape.

PLEASE, PLEASE... CHECK THIS OUT... AND THANKS IN ADVANCE

I doubt this is enough info, but I'm looking for a somewhat theatrical (as in, dramatic cleanish vocals throughout) black metal song that features this line, more or less:

"And now her torn and bloodied undergarments lay __?__ on the floor!"

The only other thing I can remember is that the band members might have been married, but I'm really not sure about that. Oh, and the line "how did it come to this" might be in there somewhere...

Thanks, all.

Nope, but thanks for taking a shot. They might not have been married after all, because I googled black metal couples for a while and didn't find what I'm looking for.

Also, when I said it was black metal, I mean that sort of loosely. I wouldn't be surprised if it was folk influenced or something like that. I'm surprised googling the lyrics in my other post isn't enough to find them, I must have misremembered a word or two.

Edge Of Sanity's Crimson? It's only 40+ minutes but the rest is a match.

I have reason to believe it might be this, even though I never heard it - the other tracks I found in YT with female vocals reminded me of it:

If it is that, can you please help me with my request (some pages back).

I am trying to remember a band they're lo-fi black metal. They're on bandcamp or soundcloud only not on spotify. They came out with an album this year or late 2015. They were famous for an album that came out a bunch of years ago called alma or something similar. They have at least two album covers with a black knight on it or a knight's helmet. I think they're called Noctern or something similar.

Any advice on how to track down a song if I can remember one of the riffs from it? I'm pretty sure it was black metal, but I have no idea how obscure or not it was. It's only two notes and if underscores were the lower notes and hyphens were the upper notes, it would go:
__ - _-____ --__ ____  Seriously though, is there anything I can do?

Thanks. I tried my best to emulate what I remember, but the pitch is probably off at least a bit. Anyone recognize this melody? I mostly listen to black metal, so I'd guess that's what it is. Ignore the last note though, it's the only way I could make the end of the riff draw out a little like in the real song.

There's this band someone recommended to me once. They released only one EP in the 00's I believe who played something similar to Bathory's Blood Fire Death. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

I think I may have found it, although I have a feeling I knew this riff from somewhere else...good enough.

Not so much like Bathory, but Debauchery released an EP on the label Blood Fire Death in 2003.
