Of course it varies from band to band, but usually they reflect the pan-aryan belief of all whites around the world. Of course there are some dumber more shock-value bands out there (The lyrical themes of Aryan Terrorism for example) and those do in fact attract more attention. As for racism, as I said it's more of a leave-us-alone-and-you're-ok ideology than a necessarily supremacist belief. This is getting into a discussion about NSBM and I really doubt the OP wants that though. |

Back to Russian BM band conversation that doesn't have to do with NSBM... I recently got the newest Old Wainds album, Death Nord Kult. Pretty much continues the quality of the band. Thrashier than their older material, imo. Very good album by a very good band. |

Do yourself a favour and get "Dwellers of the Cursed Forest", "Apocalyptic Songs", "Saturn Sector" and "Fucking Fullmoon Foundation". Both parts of "Totentanz" suck indeed. |

I wasnt even aware they had a new album out, I'll have to check that out. I thought their debut was kinda eh but their last album ruled. |

One of my favourite Russian bands, besides Old Wainds, is Nav', which shares members with Old Wainds. It's just as insane, but thrashier and lately a tad more technical, though that's hard to notice at first. Their second demo appears on a split with Old Wainds called 'We are the North...Mean Cold War' and it's pretty sick, and their two full lengths are mandatory listens. Some fantastically head-bangable material. Forgot has a great demo called 'Misanthropy' that's pretty fucked up and I've heard good things about his first full length that I mean to check out soon. I've also recently acquired a three-way split with the bands Pogost and Beyond Ye Grave who make nice but not world-shaking Norse worship with that blunt Russian touch. Also, NS or not, Branikald's Stormheit and the first two albums from Forest and Raven Dark are some of the best Darkthrone inspired releases in the genre, with Stormheit especially having some of the most impressive riffs I've heard. Temnozor and Walknut are great as well, with Walknut pretty much out-Drudhking Drudhk. |

'BlackDeath' is pretty good but not one of my favourites. I would recommend you to check out 'Ashen Light', 'Forgot', 'Grom', 'Velimor' and, even though they are folk, the fantastic 'Alkonost'. |

Ashen Light and Grom are gayer than Trivium.
However, I second Forgot. Shamefully overlooked when it comes to Russian BM. As for Velimor...
x 3 for the price of 1!

Real solid shit right there. Kind of like a synthesis between Drudkh and Velvet Cacoon... I don't know about a combination of Drudkh and VC, but agree completely with Walknut. Although the member's are involved in NS bands, I don't believe Walknut's lyrics are NS in nature. |

LOL! I'm not too familiar on 'Grom' ('s been a while since I listened to them) but 'Ashen Light' is definitely good shit, even though their live recordings are quite crappy haha. It really is a shame 'Forgot' never recorded a sophomore album. |

I've definitely heard a lot of super shitty Russian Black Metal bands, but there are a few that stand REALLY far out, for me. Amber Tears is a fantastic example. They have a totally unique sound. I guess the genre would be closer to melodic pagan death metal. but they have some black metal influence for sure. It's almost like uplifting Black metal. Probably due to the fact that it's more pagan influenced in theme. They REALLY like nature. The guitar riffs are really stand out, and unique. Familiar, but fresh. I've also grown insanely fond of Demons of Guillotine. Very simplistic song structures, but oddly well produced bad production. Recommended. |

He's actually recording one. As for Amber Tears, it's practically Gods Tower Jr.

They're awesome. That's all that matters. |

I understand that if you are kike, you might get offended but otherwise I don't see any problems. Dont mind these guys Tyyrham, people raised in the western world have been conditioned to react to naturally occurring themes/ideologies in such a way.. |
