I heard that since people liked Unchain the best, and considered Cold Steel to be weaker than Unchain and Pheonix both, anybody else worried SIEGE might be a bit of a let down? Don't get me wrong, I'm going to buy the CD anyways, but many people say it's going to be a dissappointment.

If it is anything like Terror Abraxas, its going to be their best yet.

And they changed the title to Defiance.

Cold Steel wasn't bad, it just felt a bit unfinished compared to the first two full-lengths. I also liked their last EP a lot, so the only thing that bothers me is the fact that it's been five years since their last release.

I actually preferred Cold Steel. I think it comes down to what you like. Cold Steel was thrashier than the previous albums. I am looking forward to the new album.

I agree, I liked Cold Steel a lot as well. They're definitely a strong band, not much to dislike. I look forward to this.

Well one thing is certain. All their albums/EPs sound different. I expect the new one to sound different as well, yet I also wouldn't be surprised if it had more death metal leanings.

They don't have any preview mp3s of the new album on their Myspace, do they?

Yeah, Cold Steel kicked some major ass. It's probably my favorite album of theirs, although I haven't listened to Phoenix Rising all that much.

I'm hoping the new one is in the same vein as Steel but with some longer epic tracks like Genesis To Genocide and I Am The Wargod. According to their myspace the title "Siege" has been "shelved for the next album." Kinda makes you wonder how many other ideas they've passed up on...

Regardless, Destroyer 666 is an awesome band and considering their last album came about some 6 years ago, I'm hoping this new one will be fucking sweet.

I can honestly say that Deströyer is the only band to never have made a song I don´t like

I've liked every thing that D666 has done, although Pheonix Rising is my favorite so far.

I thought that Terror Abraxas' different songs sounded like they belonged to the styles of each previous album, so I doubt that it will be an insight into the new album.

I loe Destroyer 666. Violence and Pehonix are my top favourites, followed by Unchain the Wolves. I even have a shirt with the Violence is the Prince of this World album cover on it :D

Yes I have that shirt too, along with the Unchain the Wolves shirt and a tour shirt given to me directly by KK.

Yeah Cold Steel was worse but it was still excellent. I guess you could point out a decline in quality but was nothing steep. I don't see any reason we should be worried.

Cold Steel Lacked that epic edge which people who have listened to nothing but the full lengths would have been expecting, but it was still good and still had a heap of great riffs on it, probably is their weakest though.

Cold Steel is easily my favorite by them. Riffs are much stronger and the only thing I like better about Pheonix Rising are the solos, which really aren't very important.

Unchain the Wolves is easily the best for me, but really all Destroyer 666 is gold.

I've been waiting for the new one forever, it's well worth the wait I am sure.

Cold Steel... is their best, and it's probably the most metal album ever. Actually all they've done is excellent, but the riffing on Cold Steel... is just so ripping, sharp, genuine and, metal.

Siege will positively fucking rule.

This is one of the few times where I'm going to solidly endorse an album before it's even released.

'Siege' should be excellent if the material on 'Cold Steel...' was any indication of their progression. I haven't listened to 'Terror Abraxas' so I might try and grab it before this new album is released.

Surprising that it hasn't leaked yet. I hope the new album sounds more like Unchain the Wolves and its epic, really original melodic sense.
