I came into this topic to mention them, they are indeed very good. You also described them exactly the way I was planning too. Sad that they only have two albums but they're both excellent


I just checked them out, they sounded really interesting. Great band, I'm going to pick up both albums.

Magane is one of my favorite Asian bands, the first full length is an amazing masterpiece , incorporation of Japanese traditional music along with the fast piano parts Ala Hangman's Hymn and some great bass lines (the bass work in Into the Fire is outstanding)
I also recommend the side project Quest for Blood which released their first full length this year , much more original with a famous Japanese flutist as a guest musician

Quest for Blood is really good too. I highly appreciate originality of the album however I must say that those ever-present flutes starts to sounds rather annoying after some time :-))

I guess that they could be from Eurasia, but you should have mentioned that in your post.
Anyway, I plan on checking out their album eventually.

I personally vote for Zuriaake, Yn Gizarm and Sabbat. Sabbat because I simply cannot resist to good old school Blackened Thrash, Zuriaake and Yn Gizarm because they're simply fucking beautiful. Bloodfire is a hell of a composer and a musician.

Kadenzza is a great band but I wouldn't call it exactly BM. Anyway, the point is that they indeed kick ass so :headbang:
