I ordered this from Werewolves Records, a Belorussian label and it came today. Came with no case, the booklet is just two pages, the front and back cover and the back cover meant for the CD looks like it was made for a thin jewel case and has the following data on it in the corner:

UNISOUND
Records & Publications
PO BOX 66084
15510 ATHENS, HELLAS
e-mail: [email protected]

The CD itself isn't a CD-R and has the following code on the interior: MSV V701 USR-008. The label of the CD has no "compact disc" logo or copyright information, just the band's label, a decorative graphic, the album title and the text
"USR 008
Unisound records and publications
All rights reserved"

Needless to say, I'm worried, but there might be a chance the CD itself is still legit. Can anyone who has the original confirm this?

It was originally released by Unisound, who are famous for being a sketchy operation. I think they have "bootlegged" stuff they originally released with really poor quality, so that may be what you have.

I have a CD-R of the actual album, and it's very good indeed. I give it regular spins.

I've got the original at home, I can check for you this evening. I seem to remember that it had a fuller booklet than that but my memory may be playing tricks on me.

First press CD from Unisound has a grey CD with green text over it, an empty white booklet, and no email-address on the back.

A re-press from around 1998 had the Unisound email-address on back, the CD is white with black text, and the backinlay with the email-address looks a bit different to the first press. Logo is shrinked on the front and looks shit, also the colours are all a bit different.

There is definitly a third press which has the CD with red/green paintings, but I don't know about this and can't estimate when it was released, as all newer Unisound re-pressings had the email-address noted. All old first pressings (definitly USR041 and older) didn't have an email-address in their first press. Probably USR042 and newer had an email-address already from the beginning.

Check here for the Unisound discography:
