Wouldn't it be cool if Ihsahn started playing live with his solo project? I personally think his albums are very good. I really wish he does... I think he's thought about the idea for a long time, but he's never done anything about it. Can't he just do it eventually? Like, today or tomorrow, announce that he will be playing live, that would be awesome...

Yes, he should play an awesome live concert like Dimebag.

He's already stated that he hates touring and that it would be too much of a hassle to get a live band together for his solo project. I don't expect it to happen at all.

It would be pretty cool, but I read in an interview that he strongly dislikes touring, so probably not. :(

He's more of a studio musician to be honest. I don't think he'd have any trouble finding session people willing to tour with him, but I think he'd rather write and record than play live.

Ihsahn is a busy man nowadays, always working on something. A tour would be nice, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

it'd be nice to see him get some session musicians, but as everyone said, it probably will never happen.

It could be good. But it could be thousand times better if he resurrect Emperor and start to play live again!

Ihsahn has made it known he doesn't feel the need to tour as a solo artist, although it would be nice. At least the music he still does is good.

I would hate to go to a concert to see someone performing and know in the back of my head he is hating every single minute of it. It was like the time I saw Cephalic Carnage at last show of an extremely long tour. You could tell they just did not want to be there.

So, Ihashn should do what he likes and be recording only.

I think Leprous' (a local band) bass player will do the bass, but apart from that, I don't know. We'll have to wait and see.

Emperor is a dead project.. Stated in a recent interview that Ihsahn and company have completed everything that they could ask for with Emperor, so they have no need to continue with it.

Precisely and that is what Ihsahn stated in his interview. He doesn't want Emperor to become another Metallica, or said band, that continues on making more and more albums that eventually turn out to be garbage. He doesn't want people to refer to Emperor as one of those tired bands that doesn't know when to pass the torch off.

Yes, in Reverse World where Metallica rips-off Trivium and Job for a Cowboy's Genesis is a shining beacon of originality.

It appears that the whole band Leprous will be his band for this tour, that's pretty cool. Ihsahn will play guitar as well as do the vocals, so there will actually be 3 guitars!

Not to mention that Ihsahn will be playing an 8 string guitar.
