That's a pretty committed response. Totally opinion, but I think the Pagan Altar albums are great. Groundbreaking? No. But completely satisfying to fans, yes. With possible future Buzum albums, the vocals maybe different and the sound not quiet the same but I still believe that he can compose very good music. It's a rather delicate ideal, but got to look forward to something.

I hope for another Burzum album some day, but I sure as hell am not expecting one to ever come out.

Personally, with all the emotions built up while being in prison for so long, and reading about his views on the "new outside world" that was stated in an interview, this will all be released through a new album. I don't doubt new Burzum will be black metal, and its definitely going to have to some great ambient pieces. Very emotional, raw, powerful record I have myself hoping for.

C'mon people, think about it. It's Varg... we all know that crazy son of a bitch still has it in him. Don't doubt him for a second.

Seriously though, He has already declared his intention to disappear into obscurity and write shit books under a false name. I'm almost certain there will be no more burzum album's and any hint he might give towards one will almost certainly be untrue. After all the man is in prison, he has to amuse himself somehow.

And his amusement is writing music on the acoustic guitar, reading, and discussions about racism and drugs with the other inmates.

Hence the writing music part. That is a good sign. If he has been reading, surely his views on life will change once he gets out, and he's going to be reading/writing alot, and lyrics will come forth...
As for the discussions, more views for him to sheath upon the world.


But I'm pro-Burzum, so don't mind me.

When he gets out of jail he plans on moving to a small farm he owns with his wife and children.

That was the excuse the parole board made in not granting Mark David Chapman an early release. I think that may be a reason why they'll deny Varg parole too.

Maximum sentence in Norway is 21 year's and he got 1 extra for trying to escape while on weekend leave. They cant keep him there forever unless he keeps arsing around. My guess he will be one of few people who do their full stretch seen as he's such a persona non gratis in Norway.

I could imagine Varg doing some faster metal than he used too. It would get boring for him to write the same style over and over. I expect maybe a release or two after he gets out, just to say "ya, i'm still here, fuckers".

Anyways, I've read that when he gets out he'll record 2-3 more albums under the Burzum name. I think that being 20 years in prison is enough to come up with some melodies/lyrics, even if he isn't committed to writing 100% of the time. I bet he has thought of plenty of songs while jailed.

Misanthropy Records was based in Suffolk where i live and yep it shut down. Varg was using the money he got from Misanthropy Records to buy all them guns he was ment to of had in his car when he tryed to escape on weekend leave.

I'd be willing to bet that tons of labels will give him offers as soon as he is released. Candlelight had a page on Burzum a few years ago. They put out that Anthology set not long ago.

Hopefully he'll record some music before he settles down at this mystery farm of his.

He gives credit to them. Despite sending a nail bomb to an israeli musician, he still said that he enjoyed the music. Whatever whacked out views Varg may have, he will give credit where it's due. He wasn't exactly a big fan of Euronymous, but he hasn't denied his guitar playing skill either.

That, and inevitably his music has already come into the hands of jews and various other races. He could probably care less as long as he gets to make music. He wanted a guitar and other things too, but they'd only allow him a keyboard. I'm sure he's still got some ideas leftover.

The first comment might be a little...gay...but it's true that he's being held for an awfully long time when compared to other murderers. Or worse people.

What about them? They're very similar to his metal output in terms of compositional style, mood, etc. They're just arranged entirely differently. He could easily just walk out of jail and re-record them as black metal pieces and produce material that is at worst pretty decent.
