I'm just curious if anyone else has came across albums by different bands that seem to fit exceptionally well together. I came across one combo that, for me, was pretty amazing. I played Nighttime Birds by The Gathering followed by Tiamat's Wild Honey. Yes, the themes and music are quite similar, but it was amazing how the last track on Nighttime Birds flowed into the first track on Wildhoney.

I highly recommend the combo mentioned above if you like atmospheric progressive metal with an edge. Feel free to share your experiences too...

Slayer-Haunting the Chapel, Suffocation-Breeding the Spawn & Devilium-Pagan at War. i guess because the lead guitar tone is eerily similar across the board here... plus there is the same feeling of urgency that somehow interconnects the three!?

i like this thread! i don't think i've ever really discussed such a thing or really given it much thought

later on this week i'm going to try out some of these combinations, sounds like an interesting concept.
