One band that, I just can't get enough of is As Hope Dies. They sound like a typical metalcore band. But I am trying to fit them into a genre. Is it Melodic Death Metal? They have a sadness to it. Kind of like Dark Tranquillity but without the keyboards. If anyone has heard of As Hope Dies and their cd Legions Bow to a Faceless God, I need more recommendations on that style. They broke up and I am stuck with just this cd. |

Other bands that kind of capture the sound I am looking for, but now quite are Injustice, I like it but the clean singing in it I can't handle Sylosis - Conclusion of an Age, I like the melodies at time, but am still in need of the 'sadness' haha. Plague of Ashitaka - Taking Lives On Ancient Tides, this is the closest i could find. The vocals are almost the same (exept for the low ra rara reeeeeees), and has some really really awesome parts. Very memorable. |
