As taken from the Judas Priest MA page:
"***ATTENTION: DO NOT add any of the Gull Records repackagings of 'Rocka Rolla' and 'Sad Wings of Destiny'. Not only are these pointless reissues, but they are not supported, and even opposed by Judas Priest.***"

I have not seen any copies of Rocka Rolla, but I've seen several of SWoD. Question is, how do I know if it's one of "those" reissues or one NOT opposed by the band?

The copies of SWoD I've seen have both the Koch and Gull logos on the back, for the record.

The CD first pressing by RCA (cat.-no. 4747-2-R) has the same tracklist as the original vinyl.
Later CD versions swap the A and B sides of the vinyl and begin with Victim of Changes instead of Prelude. The Ovation Records version on vinyl does this as well.

Maybe if it has RCA on it? Or if the track listing is messed up.

My vinyl copy of Sad Wings is under RCA. Is this also not supported by the band? It's pressed in 1983.

well technically no copies are "sanctioned" by the band, since the band doesn't own the rights to them unfortunately. but any copy of either album with the original track listing or title is fine, although some versions by different labels are better than others are far as sound/packaging quality goes. what they're referring to are any albums on gull/koch records by judas priest that have a different title than "rocka rolla" or "sad wings of destiny", i believe they are mostly referring to "the best of judas priest" on koch records. which is just a repackaging of several songs off of the first 2 albums in poor sound quality. the main draw to this compilation is a series of interview tracks with john hinch- priest's drummer on the rocka rolla album. but the band has said that most of what he says is pure crap, so you're better off buying the rca, victor, or repotoire (sp?) versions of either of the first 2 albums.
